Wait, wasn't Kobe demanding a trade a few years ago because he didn't have good enough players around him?

Isn't Pippen considered by many to be a top 50 NBA player?

Didn't Kareem Abdul-Jabbar win a title in Milwaukee, 6 MVPs, and 2 Finals MVPs?

Didn't Dr. J win his only NBA title with some guy named Moses Malone, a 3-time MVP and Finals MVP?

And Larry... was the man. He had some HOFers around him too.

Also I might argue that Chicago, L.A., Boston, and Philly are all pretty big markets. Much bigger than Cleveland.

Point is none of those guys left their teams because they didn't have to. They were surrounded by talent.

In ten years from now, if the Heat win 5, 6, 7 titles, people won't really care about his leaving Cleveland. Unless you live in Cleveland.

All it matters is championships. He put himself in a better position to win a championhip. I agree though that being on a team of other superstars means it is less likely for him to be an nba legend in the true sense.

I wouldn't call him a failure with the time he spent with the Cavs. He bascially made that team and town relavent again for the last 7 years. He gave them countless highlight plays, 2 MVP seasons, and a fantastic home winning percentage. Could he win it on his own? No, he couldn't do that and most of the players he got to help him out were not all-nba players by any means. So he left in a unorthadox way and pissed off a lot of people in Ohio. But on the other hand its not like he did a holdout until he got what he wanted, he played out his contract and then signed with another team. Lebron's "Soon to be greatest ever" image he has been trying to sell everyone the last 8 years is probably going ot be ruined forever, but he will win his rings and break crap loads of records, just in another state.

Yeah NBA legend is a pretty sure no. But "epic fail"? Thats a little much. Your not a epic fail if your still considered a top 5 nba player, no matter where you go. If CP3 tries to form a super team and teams up with melo and stoudemire, hes automatically not a top point guard? You can't just say a player is bad because he seeks help.

He didn't shoot all that well, but he did still average 25ppg during playoffs.

Kobe already won 3 titles so a trade at that point was not a huge deal. He was already a proven winner.

Lebron James playoff stats 2010:

29.1 PPG

9.30 RPG

7.60 APG

Kobe Bryant playoff stats 2010:

29.2 PPG

6.00 RPG

5.5 APG

Choke job? He only had the best playoff stats in the league.

Sellout? What does he owe Cleveland? He gave them seven years and two contracts. He owes them nothing. Who cares if its his hometown? He wouldn't have played there anyway if Cleveland's franchise wasn't in such sorry shape that they got the number 1 pick. He took that franchise and made it into one of the premeire teams in the league.

He could have used more tact in the way he conveyed his decision, but he went where he thought he had the best chance to win, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Again, I have to say. Why would Lebron "quit" in the playoffs? He has everything. MVPs, fame, money, endorsments, everything except a championship ring. It wouldn't make any sense for him to quit. There is no proof of that anyways, it's all subjective.

Well Lebron haters you can say he is a quiter (even though he played his ass off in game 6), you can call him a sellout, you can say he is a traitor, but you know just as much as I do that LBJ is a future HOFer, one of the most talented players of all time, and a legend. If you say otherwise you are lying to yourself and also your ignorant comments don't mean **** since haters gonna hate.
