I don't care if he didn't do it to be a jerk. Do you think players want to shake hands after they lose in the Super Bowl? In the NBA Finals? Do you think Kobe wanted to congratulate Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers after what happened in 2008? No, he didn't. But he did anyway, and he left the court afterwards. with tears in his eyes. NOBODY wants to shake hands after they lose important games. But you act like a man and a professional and you do it anyway. You are held to a higher standard and you should act like an adult. Period.-Halftime-
I guess I'm just not as sensative as everybody and could care less whether players shake hands or not.

It's cool if it doesn't bother you. It bothers me. It's one of the reasons I personally, do not like him. Do I respect the hell out of his game? Definitely. Do I like him as a person, not at all. I think he's changed for the worse since he was younger. I hate the King James persona. What is he the king of? What exactly has he accomplished that makes him the King of anything? These small things just add up to reasons I dislike him.

Can you answer this for me. Did LeBron call himself King James or did the media call him King James. I dont think I have ever heard him call himself King ever. So is it the media that gave him the name King James or himself. I am pretty sure the media gave him the name but correct if I am wrong. But if I am right that means you dislike his personality because the media hyped him up and thats not cool at all.

Wait wait, im a huge laker fan and and even bigger kobe fan but dont act like kobe's **** dont stink. i love his basketball skills but he seems to be a big **** 1st didnt he cheat on his wife, or wait how about the calling out of the gm publicly, or maybe even what he said about how his kids didnt like to be around him when he was in the finals. yeah if your going to talk ish about lebron regonize that kobe is just as bad as person because i personally dislike lebron too, hes a big baby and this whole being the king stuff is going to his head i think. hes on a team where he has to be the vocal point, theres not enough talent around him so of course hes going to have better stats than kobe, but is he better no i dont think so. heck carmelo and d wade averaged more than kobe last year, but are they better no i dont thinks so. these lebron fans just need to call back when he does something important in the post season. but like i stated in the beginning of this topic kobe just has a better skill set than lebron and i think lebron will never be as fundamentally sound as kobe. but hey thats just me

Kobe was a douchebag when he was a young kid. So what. He grew up big time since 2004. Thousands of professional athletes cheat on their wives, I honestly don't give a ****. Not saying it isn't bad because I think it's terrible to cheat on someone that you say you love, but it's so damn commonplace nowadays I'm not really going to knock anyone for it. Michael Jordan did it too.

So IYO not giving hand slaps to a team after a game is worse than cheating on your wife? Well Michael Jordan did it so I guess its ok.

Not in any way. Don't put words in my mouth. Not being faithful to your wife is one of the worst things a person can do. I know Kobe cheated on his wife. It's a definite knock on him, no doubt about it. But in the 5 years since that event occured, I've seen Kobe grow up a lot on and off the court. And besides, this is about what player is better on the floor. Not in their households. I said I disliked LeBron for certain parts of his personality, and that's my right, just as it's somebodies to hate Kobe for parts of his off court persona. But on the court, which is what this topic is about, Kobe is a better player. Period. He can do more things effectively on a basketball court than LeBron can. LeBron is more gifted athletically, but it just goes to show you that that isn't everything as a basketball player. Kobe destroys him in every fundamental aspect of the game, making him a more rounded, polished, BETTER basketball player.

But that's the things that's holding him back. He's on the Cavs lol. If Lebron signed to, say the the Celtics for example, who wouldn't be crapping their pants?

No offense but a while back Kobe was hated for the stuff he did. However, what makes you think that Lebron James can't grow up like Kobe did.

I dont know if you have friends or not but if you do youll know that you dont make your own nickname your givin it. Everyone calls him the King so he went with it. I dont see Kobe disputing Black Mamba(Which pretty much means deadly). Have you watched any of his interviews? He never is cocky or acts like a jerk. what how can u say that doesnt lebron have control over how he is put out to the media. and the media is always on his side, most of the media has jumped on his bandwagon. and just because he says good things doesnt mean he is humble, i can say all the nice things in the world but if im only saying it just to look good then what does that mean. also he is a good basketball player but not no where what people make him out to be.

We dont know LeBrons intentions behind what he says so why should we assume the worst. We dont konw if hes humble or not but your assuming the worst while I just call it the way I see it. Neither you or me know LeBron in real life so neither of us can say wheter he says these things to look good or because he is actually humble. The media has been calling him King for awhile what is he supposed to down talk that. He makes more money if he lets the media do what they want. I bet if the media wasnt involved noone would call him King.

Not a great argument. Plug Lebron into LA and move Kobe to Cleveland, not much will change.

he wouldn't get swept by the Spurs that's for dam sure. If he could take the Suns to 7 games with Smush and Kwame as his teammates he would have at least made that series against the Spurs interesting

Interesting and nice response to what I thought was a decent initial point.

really now. you sure about that?

Kobe at age 22 in the playoffs against the spurs

45 points 10 rebounds 3 assist

I have plenty of more videos of him tearin' up the Spurs in the playoffs

Sure, put Shaq prime in a lineup with 22 year old LeBron and let guess what might had happened.

yeah that's such a cop out, that doesn't erase the fact that at age 22 kobes mid range jumper was better then Lebrons, Kobe was 1st team all defense at 22, he was better from long range, and no one could guard him except maybe doug christie at the time but even then kobe still lit him and the kings up for 48 points and `16 boards at age 22 might I add. Simply put Lebron at 22 wasn't as refined as Kobe

If Lebron had Shaq when he was 22 that wouldn't help Lebrons shot, that wouldn't help him become a 1st team all defensive player etc

Simply put Lebron at 22 wasn't as refined as Kobe

If Lebron had Shaq when he was 22 that wouldn't help Lebrons shot, that wouldn't help him become a 1st team all defensive player etc

It would open up more shots for LeBron and give him a legitimate man to score. Shaq in his prime completely dominated the paint and left some good shots for Kobe. LeBron has never had anyone that commands a double team or a teammate that can be relied on to hit the shot when LeBron is doubled.

[QUOTE="Master_Live"]Sure, put Shaq prime in a lineup with 22 year old LeBron and let guess what might had happened.LTomlinson21

yeah that's such a cop out, that doesn't erase the fact that at age 22 kobes mid range jumper was better then Lebrons, Kobe was 1st team all defense at 22, he was better from long range, and no one could guard him except maybe doug christie at the time but even then kobe still lit him and the kings up for 48 points and `16 boards at age 22 might I add. Kobe didn't rely on open shots though. Never did.

The better player is the one with 4 rings. An MVP. Also 6 NBA Finals appearances, and proven clutch player. Easily Kobe.
