How can you have a top ten list without players like Brian Bosworth, Dave Klingler, Steve Emtman, and Tony Mandarich?

All of them are bigger busts then RL

Say what you will about Good Rex/Bad Rex, but they DID go to the Super Bowl. As much as I hate to say it about a TN player, you have to put Heath Shuler on that list. At least Peyton Manning redeemed UT a few years later.

He's been semi-productive for Huston at least, so he's not a complete bust.

I don't know if its one of the biggest, but When the Vikings drafted Troy Williamson in like.. I think 04 or 05,
Everyone was excited because he was the guy that had to replace Randy Moss, We could of gotten Fitzgerald over Williamson
And Williamson just simply..does not know how to catch. Let this do the justice if you don't believe me.
By the way these are both in the same game.

Fitzgerald was drafted in 2004 and Williamson was drafted 2005, so you couldn't have gotten him. I wouldn't feel too bad about drafting Williamson. Look who at which wide receiver was taken three spots after him: Mike Williams. Consider yourself lucky.

Ohh, haha I didn't really know, I was reading after someones comment to one of the videos saying "And we took williamson over fitzgerald?" so I just assumed, but Williamson is still a bust.

David Carr=the biggest bust EVERNgamer05

How is David Carr the biggest bust ever? His numbers were pretty solid for a guy stuck behind such a crappy line.

I think the bad o-line in Houston ruined him for the most part. He got gun-shy and that's why he sucked it up so bad even after going to a better line in Carolina. I don't agree with biggest bust ever, either.

And on a side note, what other QB could Houston have taken with their first pick? Joey Harrington? Maybe reach for Patrick Ramsey? In hindsight, they just couldn't win with that pick if they wanted a QB.

Williamson wasn't THAT bad (by that I mean he was pretty good) in College....it has to be some kind of mental block I wouldn't give up on him just yet. If memory serves me right T.O had the SAME exact problem during his first year with the 49ers and he eventually broke out of it.

As much as I hate to say it... Ernie Davis.

National Championship team. Heisman Trophy. Number 1 in the Draft. Died before he got to play a single game.

I think you misunderstood what a bust means

It means someone who showed a vast amount of pro potential in their college (or now high school) career but was never able to take their game to the next level once they entered the league.

That's more of a sad story of a player that never had a chance to fulfill their potential.

Andre Ware would be a bust, someone who had an amazing college career with many records at Houston then followed it up with the Heisman only to fail miserably at the NFL level and then fall to the CFL.

Throw in Tony Mandarich and Heath Shuler for these clowns. Grossman started for a Superbowl team (yes, I do know that they lost and he played badly), he will get one more chance to prove he can win. Jeff George though not what you want from a number one pick managed to have a long and semi-productive career. Shuler and Mandarich, (one pick ahead of Barry Sanders) were way worse. Other guys have mentioned Steve Emmtman and the Boz I think that they could knock a couple guys off that list as well. The list should also make room for JaMarcuss Russel he'll be on it soon enough as well.

I don't consider him a top 10 draft bust because though he didn't live up to all the hype he has had a respectable career and still is playing. I believe a draft bust to play only a couple seasons and never really do anything at all.

russel i dont think he;ll be a bust. if he its bcuz he played in oakland real bad team no weapons for him.. rookie head coach 33 yrs old and a owner that likes to fires tons of coaches...brady quinn has yet to start but i think he'll be a bust. more then half of players drafted in 1st rd are bust. Y? the 5th 6th 7th rds work way more harder then them to earn a roster spot and supply for their family. look at brady 6th rounder... romo is over rated but un drafted...

Rex Grossman and Cedric Benson don't deserve to be on any of these lists. Let me know when they play behind a good offensive line.

What about Akili smith?

Know whats funny? Most of the biggest busts in the NFL have gone to the Cincinnati Bengals...
