Wasn't expecting this and why would they trade inside their own division? Yikes. white_soxyea very weird to do such a big name in your own division all i know is the redskins just sucked out all the enjoyment from the 2010 season for me before it ever started :( thanks alot...
The Eagles better have gotten a lot to trade him to a division rival.geaux321this years 37th overall, and a 3rd or 4th rounder next year based on performance
So the Redskins were in such a need for a fat, out of shape QB, that would fail in the clutch they traded for one?
I mean they lost next to nothing for him buy holy cow, I guess it's ok to keep the spot warm while you look for your real QB to guide the team into the future.

yea i love how so many analysts are actin like the eagles made a mistake tradein him especially in the division, and all i keep sayin is that mcnabb is a oft injured aged fallen qb, i give him 2 years with the skins before hes gone been sayin this over and over to analysts postin on twitter[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]yea i love how so many analysts are actin like the eagles made a mistake tradein him especially in the division, and all i keep sayin is that mcnabb is a oft injured aged fallen qb, i give him 2 years with the skins before hes gone been sayin this over and over to analysts postin on twitterSo the Redskins were in such a need for a fat, out of shape QB, that would fail in the clutch they traded for one?

Besides McNabb's obvious problems he's in the last year of his contract with a huge roster bonus coming in a month
The Eagles were lucky getting a 2nd rounder this year and a third next year for him

yup smart move by eagles very smart indeedI bet Mcnabb plays like an MVP next season. Its call MOTIVATION.Master_Livei hope not, i lost all enjoyment for the 2010 season thanks to this, i hate mcnabb alot, havin him a skin kills me, im sure he will do his best but to bad his best is him gettin injured and failin at the big games
I bet Mcnabb plays like an MVP next season. Its call MOTIVATION.Master_Live
That would be so sad
He's given a team that's one of the best in the NFC for the last decade and folds like a house of cards each season but he gets traded because he couldn't cut it and THEN he plays well?
That would taint his entire career (moreso then it already is)
I expect some good play out of him but I expect either the Redskins really work on Campbell or they draft another QB this draft and start the grooming process
correct me if im wrong but it was for a 2nd this year and conditional 3/4th in the following years draft, wouldn't consider that next to nothing. So the Redskins were in such a need for a fat, out of shape QB, that would fail in the clutch they traded for one?

You're right and that's incredibly cheap
Second round pick for a guy that can start right now and allow you to groom whoever you want in the future and a third next season if everything goes the best it can?
I don't think that McNabb can lead the Redskins anywhere but he's a good stop gap while they figure out how to move from here
this was actaully a very smart move by the eagles, they know they wont win with mcnabb and they know hes oftinjured and gettin aged, they got more then his worth in this trade and will laugh all the way to the bank, they may not win a superbowl with kolb but they wernt goin to win one with mcnabb either and neither will the skinsThis is why the Eagles are the only team who has no superbowls in the NFC East.

Good, now there is nothing holding me back from rooting against the Eagles, hopefully they go 0-16. Master_LiveI want to give you a big hug. The Eagles were my second favorite team behind my Vikes now I don't know what to do. I like Kolb but McNabb was finally given some weapons with Jackson, Macklin, and McCoy, now they've giving the joystick to an unproven QB in one of toughest divisions currently in the NFL. C'mon Philly at least let him play out his contract.

lol. No it wasnt a good move at all. However fine you wanna give Kolb a chance, okay the Packers did the same with Rodgers and Favre okay fine..but within the division? LOL. Get real. Eagles front office is a joke.
Yes that would be insane but I would love to see it. Only if he doesn't sign with Panthers(very unlikely but I would like to see him and Smith on together, that would be interesting). I am surprised though that they would send him to someone in their own division. All hell would break loose if T.O. signs with the Skins.

The Eagles must feel like McNabb has nothing left in the tank. Trading him to a divisional rival? Not smart. The Redskins owned the Eagles big time.
EDIT: I misread the trade. A second and third in the SAME draft would have been a better value. A third to fourth rounder in the '11 draft is pretty weak. With that, the Redskins still owned the Eagles.
Um, I thought that you weren't supposed to trade your best player or any key player within your division. So what now? I s Kolb the future or is Michael Vick a step or two away from a near complete career 360?
Wow, that was unexpected....I guess now the Skins have a possibility of not sucking this season. Good for them.
eagles are the Stupidest team is history! why the **** would they trade him. im going to be making so much fun of every eagles fan in my town. ( i live outside of philly but i like the ravens)

Becase he was old, and hadn't won them a championship. Plus they have a young QB wating in the wings.

But there's no question that the Eagles would have been better with McNabb this season then with Kolb.

True, but maybe it'll be another Aaron Rodgers type of situation. This year could be filled with instances of struggle but the season after that they could bounce back into contention. But that's if Kolb actually pans out though. As a Giants fan, I hope he doesn't though. ;)
According to past Eagle comments, this is a good fit for McNabb since they Redskins actually run the ball unlike the Eagles. Now they're saying he was aging and over the hill.eagles are the Stupidest team is history! why the **** would they trade him. im going to be making so much fun of every eagles fan in my town. Eagles should've gotten either a first rounder or another second for him, Redskins got a bargain. Still, if they can't get a line that can protect him, a runner that can get decent yards, or a receiver that can catch McNabb's not going to be any better off than he was in Philly.
We've signed Willie Parker and Larry Johnson and have Clinton Portis. We'll also be using our 4th pick for an OL. While those backs are on the back of their careers, they should have a lot of effectiveness as they'll be switching in and out a lot. I'm still angry we got him though.Eagles should've gotten either a first rounder or another second for him, Redskins got a bargain. [QUOTE="Chutebox"]Oh lord, yet ANOTHER reason why McChoke is a Grade A+ scumbag! I hope Philly makes a fool out of him twice a year for the next 3 to 4 years.McNabb forced the trade.
"McNabb, who is in the final year of his deal, made this happen by making it clear he wasn't going anywhere else but Washington."
And McNabb will be there for 3-4 years, not one year.

You really have something against the guy, don't you?
How the hell does that make him a scumbag?

Listen, I still hate McNabb even though he's a Redskin now. But he has plenty of reason to hate the Eagles org.Eagles should've gotten either a first rounder or another second for him, Redskins got a bargain. Yeah I agree the O-line is our biggest issue. Hopefully we sing some FA's plus get some young talent from the draft to fix that line.

LOL. Of course he wanted to go to the skins. He didn't wanna get traded at all, but he knew he was gone so he said fine im going to the skins and gonna make you regret it. I mean I hate the skins but I would rather play their right now than at Oakland.
