Suzy Kolber? Really? The blog post for this on KissingSuzyKolber sums up my thoughts pretty well -- with this move and the recent acquisition of Willie Parker, the Redskins are now the favorites to win the 2004 Super Bowl.

[QUOTE="Chutebox"][QUOTE="theone86"]We've signed Willie Parker and Larry Johnson and have Clinton Portis. We'll also be using our 4th pick for an OL. While those backs are on the back of their careers, they should have a lot of effectiveness as they'll be switching in and out a lot. I'm still angry we got him though. I know he is a big division rival for you, but think. Who would to rather have leading your team, Campbell or McNabb?Eagles should've gotten either a first rounder or another second for him, Redskins got a bargain. Still, if they can't get a line that can protect him, a runner that can get decent yards, or a receiver that can catch McNabb's not going to be any better off than he was in Philly.

McNabb but that's mainly because Campbell just isn't suited for the West Coast offense and is inaccurate.

At least McNabb is in an offense that actually runs the ball.[QUOTE="JML897"]Suzy Kolber? Really? The blog post for this on KissingSuzyKolber sums up my thoughts pretty well -- with this move and the recent acquisition of Willie Parker, the Redskins are now the favorites to win the 2004 Super Bowl.

That site was made a little bit after the whole Joe Namath/Suzy Kolber thing a few years ago. I don't really care for the name either, but the site itself is hilarious.

At least McNabb is in an offense that actually runs the ball.Yeah I agree but the biggest disappointment last season was that our running game disappeared. Ganther sort of revived it at the end of the season but that's only becuase everyone else was banged up.
I trust Shanahan though.
Oh lord, yet ANOTHER reason why McChoke is a Grade A+ scumbag! I hope Philly makes a fool out of him twice a year for the next 3 to 4 years.MoonMarvel
You really have something against the guy, don't you?
How the hell does that make him a scumbag?
Yes I do! I cant stand the whiny little punk! I have hated him with a passion for years! And this does make him a scumbag, instead of working with the team he held them hostage and forced them to make a bad trade just out of spite. SCUMBAG! Dont think the Eagles got a good deal here? Blame Donovan "Scumbag" McChoke. You're laughably wrong in your poor assessment of the McNabb trade. What everyone seems to forget is that Elway was 1 year older than McNabb is right now when Mike Shanahan became head coach and look at what Elway was able to do. I hate to McNabb go, but I'm happy he's going to go to a team that would help him out. You can't argue at how good Shanahan is as a headcoach.
I suppose that means Jason Campbell's ticket out of town has been punched. Well, maybe he'll succeed somewhere else. I'd say the Redskins are a better team as a result of this trade, but not good enough to be a playoff team. They still have too many problems.
Good job Eagles. Thanks for trading McNabb to a division rival and to a place that he will probably be appreciated alot more then he was in Philly. I dont understand why this guy has gotten so much hate during his tenure as an Eagle. He is a good qb and one of the best the eagles ever had. He got blamed too much for the Eagles shortcomings. Bad defense, blame Mcnabb, bad coaching, blame mcNabb,etc... As a Colts fan I hope dude lights it up against the Eagles. That would be so funny. Instead of management fixing other issues with this team, they get rid of the best qb on the team and hand over the keys to Kolb??? Kolb played two good games last year and everybody is gushing over him. Lets see what he does playing a full season. The Eagles could have at least let McNabb finish out his contract and then let him walk.

I'm pretty down on Larry Johnson, I really think he's on the backslide of his career based on what he's done lately in KC. FWP was a good aquisition, he does have to stay healthy though. Portis has been their back for a while now, I don't watch games so I don't know if it's a line problem or if he's going down, but the bottom line is they have to run the ball better even with McNabb at QB. They also don't have the offensive weapons at receiver that McNabb had in Philly, that should also be a priority. It makes them a better ball club no doubt, but they need to keep improving. Hopefully, for Skins fans at least, this and getting Shanahan will be a big enough boon to at least be in competition for a wild card if not the division.
Yes, let's blame McNabb for all those NFC championship games.... You've got too much hate in you, calm down... The NFL is a business. McNabb has done what any other player would do in his position, even you---if you were lucky enough to be in that position. [QUOTE="MoonMarvel"][QUOTE="TaCoDuDe"]Yes I do! He gave his all to the Eagles and the least they could have done was try to grant him his wish. The Eagles are the ones who turned their backs on McNabb. I would love to see your reaction this upcoming season Moonmarvel of he torches the eagles and is the reason they dont make the playoffs. Oh the irony would be too much.lolYou really have something against the guy, don't you?

Well, we have a good WR in Santana Moss and two really good TE for him to throw the ball to. Fred Davis especially stepped up big time in the passing game last year. His blocking just sucks hard....I 'dWow I can't believe what a bad move that is for washington. Looks like Philly just traded 5 pennys for 1 quarter to the slow kid down the street.

lol I can't believe the Eagles traded away their only short term hope at success. Say what you want about McNabb but he's matured and is now a much better qb than he was in the past.
I remember all the Eagles fans on this forum that worshipped McNabb and thought he could do no wrong and now watch them turn on him like a red-headed step child.
Go Skins!
I don't understand how people think the Redskins can win the division. I realize that they're much more talented with McNabb but he's not Peyton Manning. McNabb is not a miracle worker. Last season the Redskins went 4-12 losing to some horrible teams. This year they play the NFC North and AFC South. I just can't see them beating the Packers, Vikings, Texans, Colts, Bears, and Titans. Plus it'll be tough to beat the Cowboys and Giants.
Their offense still isn't good enough. They have three extremely old veterans in Portis, Johnson, and Parker, mostly unproven WR's, and a horrid offensive line. The possible drafting of Okung will not save the entire line. Plus, I think you guys are overestimating McNabb. He's not the same player he was 5 years ago. I think the Cowboys showed everyone this year how his skills have diminished. The Cowboys are still the class of the division, with the Giants behind them. At best I can see them going 8-8 and competing for the 6th playoff spot.
If anyone can take the 'skins to the SB it will be Shanahan. He can get McNabb going in the right direction and making him a better QB. Plus lets not forget what he does with RB. McNabbs good, but he's not great. He's had his good games when they came back from losing in the 1 half and pull off a win. Big thing is he couldn't do it all the time, he only did it once in a while. Mike will get him turned around and in 2 or 3 years they be SB champs.
he's gonna do horrible, proving once and for all that he's been overrated in phillystarwarsjunkyim not a philly fan anyways lol
I hope he does well with the Redskins
it's about time that team finally replace Campbell
they wouldnt of had to if they would of left one system in place for more then one season, i dont feel to bad for teh dude i mean hes playin a kids game for more then ill see in my life but you cant blame him he never got an honest shothe's gonna do horrible, proving once and for all that he's been overrated in phillystarwarsjunkyPeople like you are hilarious:lol: I don't understand how a QB with over 200 touchdown passes, multiple playoff seasons, has done EVERYTHING for the Philadelphia Eagles franchise in the past decade, even playing on a broken ****ing ankle against the Cardinals in 2002, not to mentiion he has the best touchdown to interception ration in NFL HISTORY. Yeah, the guy sure is overrated. GTFOH.

He has ok stats, big deal, he's inaccurate and fails when the game is on the line, he's overrated.

Brady has the highest TD/interception ratio at 2.27, Steve Young is 2nd at 2.17, and McNabb is 3rd at 2.16. McNabb does have the highest interception percentage though with Neil O'Donnell at 2.1.
