I have aPS3 and i like the way you swing in 2K games and i feel overall the gameplay is much better than the shows but i see all these bad reviews is it really that bad or is it a worth while purchase for a Baseball fan. Plus its 29.99. So do you think i should buy it?

2K8 is likely the worst baseball game I've ever played.

2k8 is fine.... the only problem i had with it was that it's really hard to hit out of the infield

plus their isnt a framerate issue if you heard their was one

If you have a ps3, then the only baseball game you need to buy is MLB: The show....it's clearly the best. Not sure if it's still up but they had a demo on the PSN.

I'm not really a fan of any of 2K's sports games, but I had no choice for baseball owning a 360. But I think it's a pretty solid game aside from the obvious framerate issues that sometimes make you shake your head. Especially when dealing with cutscenes and replays between innings. Things could have been a lot smoother. I honestly think that the reason a lot of people didn't like it was because they had a hard time figuring out how to use the total control pitching scheme. Some friends of mine totally gave up on the game because they couldn't figure it out. They missed the old 3 button press system. But I really thought the pitching was what made the game that much better for me. Not all of your pitches would be perfect because sometimes your pitching motion could be off. Just like real pitching. They could have made it a bit more forgiving though for pitches that were off. Seems like you could belt every meatball pitch out of the park. I've tried tweaking the difficulty slider settings, but it's hard to get it just right. But it feels nice to throw that perfect backdoor slider and get that called strike. You feel like you accompished something. Not just timing the button presses.
