MLB The Show or MLB 2k

The show 08 is probably the best sports game for this gen

let alone the best baseball game, imo :)

The Show has really bad feilding issues. The main reason people pick the Show over 2K is graphical/presentation. 2K has unique gameplay in feilding and pitching witch really feels good.

MLB 08 the Show - wiki "Some glitches and bugs are present in the game. 'Invisible' walls, fielding controls (a pop fly being completely missed in assist mode), and fielder throwing strength have all been reported as slight issues in gameplay."

The only way to miss a double or triple play is by not not thinking/reacting instinctively. Keep the graphics. I'll take solid gameplay.

There isn't a problem with The Show's gameplay... at all. It's basic, but it's solidly realistic unlike 2k's home run derby gameplay.

In MLB 2K8 set your sliders for easier play or throw a "Meatball" over the plate, and homeruns are going to happen. As I said before MLB the Show it old scool gameplay; nothing new although much improved. Most of the gratification is gained in the presentation. MLB 2K8 looks nowhere near as good as The Show but the gameplay feels light years ahead. When you play 2K8 you fell like your actually doing something whether its batting, feilding, or pitching...especially pitching.

I've had a few cheap moments like my player not picking up a ball bouncing on the ground because I didn't approach it from the right angle or inexplicably going into the running catch n throw animation even when there's no one on base, but I've always perfered The Show.

i dunno what is with 2k games and the right analog stick. i did not like pitching or fielding with the right analog stick.

and this only fielding issue thing with the show, iv enever experienced anything like that. like somebody already said, the ball rolls past the 2b/SS, you just need to approach it on a different angle.

I want the game with better gameplay I have MLB the Show 06 and I don't really like it.pero2008

The Show series by a landslide! I will say that MLB 2K10 has very fun pitching and hitting, but the fielding is still broken and AI does some annoying things. The Show still dominates it overall though.

And the Show does have the home run derby now so... And if you have actually played the Show and played 2K, you would know for a fact the fielding is 10X's better in the Show. I have both systems and have played both games and it's not even close with fielding.

I've never seen anyone argue that 2k's gameplay is better than The Show.

This should be a Poll. It's kinda like 360 vs PS3. Since The Show isn't on the Xbox. I actually havn't played the 2K series since 2K5. So i say The Show
