That's what I'm saying. They may not be able to shoot but they use their size to their advantage. And Lebron is a better shooter than most people think.

really Lebron James most overrated. He came into the leauge at 19 years old and ave over 20 pts a game. He led cleveland to the nba finals by him self. Since he has been at cleveland he has had no help. He was a key part of Team USA winning gold. Yeah Dwight cant shoot but his defense and rebounding is 2nd to none. Shaq's time has past so i dont think he qualifes. Most overrated player in my opionin is T-Mac. He has played with vince carter and Yao ming and has never played for a team that got out of the first round of the playoffs. He is a good offensive player but thats about it.

Word. I think Nash deserved his first MVP, that was a great year and it was a toss up between him and Shaq. But the 35 PPG season Kobe should have won the MVP, hands down.

Its not just about stats, but who had the overall best performance and meant more to his team. Nash actually did a bit better the 2nd time then he did the first. In fact he stayed at that level for 4 years in a row. Kobe had a great year, but I feel most would have felt Nash got robbed if he didn't get it. I do wonder if Kobe should have got it the next year and not Dirk.

Tim Duncan. All he does is win. Winning is overrated when you don't lose. When you lose you get some cred TD. :P

In all seriousness it's gotta be Bruce Bowen. The guy gets credited for playing great D. But imo his teammates make it so easy for him it's not even funny. The Spurs just play Great D as a team. TD deserves much more credit for Bruce's so called D. Not saying he is bad on D but it's not worth pointing out every time Kobe, Lebron, TMac, any other great scorer he goes against shoots the ball.

You don't have to be a good shooter to be a good bball player. Magic Johnson couldn't shoot that well either... neither could Bill Russell...

My Overrated Team:

Josh Smith (all flash, hardly any substance. He hasn't become the leader many people were hoping he would be)

Rudy Gay (low FG %, takes ill advised shots, very inconsistent, turns the ball over a lot, gets in early foul trouble)

Amare Stoudemire (with his athleticism he should be a much better defender but he's not)

Vince Carter (he puts up the stats but never became that leader like a D Wade or Kobe)

Steve Nash (terrible defender, he never averaged over 10 assist in a season until he came to the Suns and ran in D'Antoni's offense)

yup, I'm an old school gamer too. I have an emulator that lets me play the game on my ipod touch but it's just not the same as playing it on the NES. I love playing with the Chiefs because of Okoye, now that dude is a beast in the game :D

LeBron is an extremely overrated defender but on offense he's not. He's got a great skill set but he has the maturity of a high school teenager.

Paul Pierce is overrated. He performs well in the playoffs but only one of two games or so. And in the regular season he's invisible and still would be if it wasn't for KG and Allen.

1. Vince Carter - If he couldn't dunk, he'd have the popularity of Micharl Redd 2. Yao Ming - Turnovers, especially in the playoffs are ridiculous 3. Pau Gasol - Helluva player, but not top PF matieral like Kobe makes him appear 4. Dirk Nowitzki - No defense 5. Steve Nash - Same as Nowiztki And as far as LeBron, he's in my opnion the 3rd best player in the league. 1st is Kobe, and 2nd is D-Wade. LeBron is a great player, but has no "killer instinct" that D-Wade, and Kobe posses

Gasol is legit even without Kobe, I think. And noting your user name, I won't argue the Wade #2 comment.

3 people on that list can't play defense and have never led their team to anything. One is a knucklehead that hasn't won anything ever and cares about his stats more than anything(Amare). Nash is a defenseless softie that had overrated numbers because of D'Antoni's run n gun system, and he's a choker when the games count. Bosh can shoot jumpers, shoot jumpers, and shoot more jumpers. He's a mediocre rebounder and terrible defender with no strength. KG, let's be real now. What has he done ever without a team of Hall of Famers? I know he helped the Celtics win that championship and he's a great scorer and defender but he's another one of those players that dissipates in important games, even DURING the C's championship run. To me, Kevin Garnett is the greatest complimentary player of all time. You can't win something with him alone, but surround him with great players that have the balls to take shots in important games and you'll go places.

Indeed, Pau was an awesome player in Memphis. He's fundamentally sound, too. He can rebound, hit the jumper, go left, defend, block shots, and when he's being aggressive he is a lethal post scorer. There are big men that are so overrated in the NBA but Pau isn't one of them.

Some of his fakes and moves on the post are sick. He's very smooth for being a seven footer. His offensive game is great enough to almost make you forget how good a defender he is, too.

I agree. AI is a good player but he can't fit into any system; that's why no team want him on the strating roster now. He's an undersize SG and a ballhog PG. Just because he got mad skill doesn't mean he's a good ball player. He will be a good 6th man though.

Kevin Garnett's offense nowadays consists soley of him popping out to shoot 15 to 18 foot jumpers. I don't know the last time I saw his ass playing the post. KG is a choker. He is a dissapearing act in important games, always has been, always will.

I'm not saying he isn't great, because there's no doubt that he is, but there is a such thing as being good and at the same time being overrated a tad bit.

What has KG done?? KG was arguably the best player in the league during the early 2000's and kept the talentless timberwolves in playoff contention for nearly a decade. His supporting cast consisted of joe smith, wally, rasho, ervin johnson, old cassell and sprewell.... The talent on that team w/o KG is comparable to that of the miami heats supporting cast yet,not only were the wolves a 50 win team for several seasons, they went on to have the best record in the west and KG finally got his MVP trophy 4 years overdue. He was the go to guy in the clutch for the wolves and his low post and all around play was unstoppable down the stretch - he singlehandedly took the wolves past the kings in 7 games and into the conference finals while cassell sat on the bench with an old hip. Before all the talk about how kobe/wade/lebron had no help, garnett was THIS guy before any of them. KG has accomplished more virtually alone more than anyone else this past decade. And the FIRST SEASON when he finally did get some hlep, he went on to win a championship along with back to back 60 win seasons

who ever said Tim Duncan is wrong. Timmy is legit and I hate the spurs.
