It is upon us once again. The Los Angeles Lakers of the West and the Boston Celtics of the East. The series will begin June 5, in Boston.

On Topic, FINALLY the celtics get a big rest. We get 6 Days now untill the first game of the Finals. Seriosuly big time rest they need this after going 7 7 6. This is such a big win for that one reason.Just_Osmo

I like both of these teams, but I really want the Celtics to win this one because Paul Pierce has gone through a lot in Boston, and he deserves it as well as KG and Ray Allen. It's also nice to see a hometown guy in the Finals in Kendrick Perkins. We played against him in highschool. He was a beast.

I love Kobe and Lamar Odom, but they will probably be in the finals for the next 4 or 5 years. This is the Celtics year...I hope.

I'm a LA guy so of course, I'm rooting for Lakers.

But if Celtics win, I wouldn't mind either. KG, Ray Allen, and Pierce as well as Doc Rivers, deserve it. I wouldn't be happy for Celtics the organization or team, but I would be happy for KG, Allen, and Pierce because those guys are great and since I've been a fan of theirs for a long time.

With teams like the Hornets and even the Blazers, I seriously doubt it. The Lakers will definitely be contenders for the next couple years, but I don't see a dynasty or anything like that.

All those teams will be good, but the Lakers have Kobe + good players in Odom and Gasol + good role players and bench + Bynum returning = the making of a possible dynasty. If not dynasty, they are at least capable of winning 2 or more championships. Also they are getting the playoff and finals experiance this year making them that much better. The Blazers have a few more years before they are ready. You should have said the Jazz and Hornets.

This lineup, Fisher, Bryant, Odom, Gasol, Bynum, pretty sick for atleast the next 3 years. I'll be rooting for Kobe and the Lakers this Finals.

That bracket really shows that the best teams in the NBA all fought for it after the first round.

Celtics win this year in a thrilling game 7 ........ Pierce , Garnett , and company get their championship and next year we get a rematch with a healthy Bynum and the Lakers sweep them .....

Well this is the Finals match-up eveyrone wanted. Ratings of Spurs vs Pistons rematch probably would've been horrible.

So what is like 14 NBA titles compared to 9? The Celtics will look to extend their impressive record while the Lakers try to close the gap.

Yeah I wasn't sure exactly how many each have won. I just knew the Celtics have the record. Thanks for clrearing that up.

I expect to see that old highlight shown a thousand more times. The one where that guys sounds like he's plugging his nose and says "Now there's a steal by Bird!!!! Underneath to DJ lays it in!!!!!!"
