Bill Simmons has been hating on this Celtics team for one reason or another ever since this playoff run started. He doesn't speak for C's fans, and personally I think this L.A. love fest from ESPN is great for Boston. I'd rather us be billed as underdogs and have people conveniently forget or ignore just how dangerous the C's are in favor of the hype. Thursday can't come soon enough.

lets just hope that the Big 3 can come up big in this series.......

Ray Allen finally has showed some life in the past couple of games

in my opinion the lakers are just over matched by the celtics so the

celtics should win the first two in boston. so lets just hope that the

Big 3 can show up and bring home a championship to wear it belongs.

Stuff I think when I see this matchup:

1) David Stern is a happy man.

2) Phil "The Zen Master" Jackson has a week to prepare for the Celtics...

3) ...and Doc Rivers is the Celtics coach.

4) Kobe Bryant is the best player in the game of basketball and the best closer too...

5) and Kevin Garnett is perhaps the most athletically gifted big man in the history of the NBA but has an low IQ(sometimes) and doesn't have that "it" thing.

6) Disrespecting the Celtics is a bad idea for the fans, the media and especially the Lakers.

7) Ray Allen is done...sometimes.

8) The Lakers look lock up and loaded with everything clicking at the right time...

9) ...and Celtics can't expect to win when you have too many if's: If KG comes big today, if Ray shows up today, if Perkins or Rondo steps up big tonight...

10) The Lakers shouldn't develop a "We can turn it on whenever we like" mentality ala Detroit Pistons.

Most likely not as excited if it was there team in the Finals but this NBA Finals between LAL & BC will be the most exciting Finals to watch for a long time even if your not a fan of either team.

The Celtics WILL WIN THIS SERIES, no questions asked, the Lakers stand no chance, Gasol is a big pos and will not even compare to Garnett and Perkins. This will be a sweep, no questions asked. jbrejot

This series won't be a sweep. I'm not saying the Lakers will win the series, even though I root for them, but there's no way they'll get swept and there's no way Boston is gonna get swept.

It won't just be a sweep, every game will be a complete blowout to boot. The Celtics only really need to suit 5 up for the entire series, and they'll be just fine. Kobe won't do a single thing this entire series. The Lakers might as well just throw in the towel before game one starts, if they don't, every player one of their players is gonna end up in the hospital with broken ankles.

Kobe Bryant has come alive in the 3rd quarter! On the other hand its not a good look for Celtics right now as Paul Pierce is on the floor just about now in pain and being checked by the Celtics' medical & training staff. JCblueside

If hes hurt for the series we mind as well hand the lakers the trophy right now.
