[QUOTE="bobcheeseball"] Lebron did a 1 on 5 fastbreak against all the Lakers. How can people even say Kobe's a better basketball player...the only thing he has now is FT% Lebron has a better jump shot nowandyboiii
until he proves he can do it in the playoffs which he hasn't yet Kobe>Lebron
Lebron has no excuses now that he has good teammates, I'll be laughing my ass off when the Celtics knock them out AGAIN
Lebron averages 30 points 8 boards and 7 assists in the playoffs. All of these better than Kobe. He has done it. I never have and never will understand why championship wins are considered when evaluating an individual, its clearly a team stat.[Lebron averages 30 points 8 boards and 7 assists in the playoffs. I look at finals MVP's including what they've done to lead their team to that point. Kobe has had his share of bad games in the playoffs don't get me wrong but he's redeemed himself of those terrible losses. Lebron has not redeemed himself yet. That's why I'm saying if Lebron does what he's doing now in the playoffs and redeems himself of those losses against the Celtics and Magic then maybe I can be ok with saying he's better then Kobe. If we were going just by regular season stats Oscar Robertson>Jordan but we all know that's not what we judge players by

As far as talent is concerned I don't think there is any doubt Lebron is better than Kobe. Lebron simply has the better all around game, while Kobe is a pure scorer.

LeBJ's game is all bases on his great athleticism. His fundamentals are nowhere near Kobe's level.

As far as Lebrons assists numbers, don't forget him and kobe play in 2 completely different systems. Kobe isn't handling the rock as much as Lebron because he plays in a triangle offense

While Lebron came into the league doing it. Defensively Lebron is the better player. Not saying Kobe is bad. As for Lebron playing with his back to the basket very few perimeter players ever truly dominate in this fashion.
[QUOTE="Jagged3dge"]Because a game on Christmas means anything:lol: We always lose on Christmas anyway, even back when we had the shaq and kobe teams Overreactions for the win:lol:lol @ Lakers fans saying 3-peat. They'll be lucky if they make it out of the West.
-Halftime-
Its really not even this game, the Lakers have been playing extremely sluggish and they need to get it together cause their not going to be able to fool around with San Antonio, Dallas, Thunder, or the Jazz.
You keep saying 1 game means nothing in an 82 game schedule, so if you look at it like that then no single game is important? Your basically placing the regular season as not meaning anything. Doesn't matter when the game is, its still a regular season game.
Fail logic.
And to pitch into this cliche Lebron vs. Kobe debate.
Kobe is definitely the more skilled player, from his footwork to his ability to get to the basket. You can't really say Lebron is ALL athleticism since he has improved his jump shot greatly.
But yeah Kobe is better not because of rings, just because he doesn't have the strength Lebron has and he could still hold his own.
I can't believe some people are still talking about one game on Christmas that will have no impact on the playoffs at all.
The Heat won. I'm happy. Why should we care about what the Lakers do anymore? They're a good team with back-to-back championships. I wouldn't be worried if I were a Lakers fan.

People actually really aren't talking about it, I mean its over we came, we saw, we conquered.
Its just we shocked America when 49 out of 50 states were counting us out.Obviously the damage done to the Lakers is like throwing a pebble at a car but itreally raised the Heat organizations convidence and morale. Now nobody can say that we haven't beaten anyone importantanymore.
i wouldnt say its just 1 game the lakers arent what they were last yr artest is freakintrash kobe and gasolhavent been that great
and come on how much better does lebron have to be then kobe to get the nod that he is now better? oh yea he's gotta win a title MVP's dont matter
By your logic Steve Nash is a better player than not only Kobe, but Shaquille O'Neal and countless others that have a single MVP award. The MVP award doesn't mean anything. Win the Finals MVP and then I'm impressed.i wouldnt say its just 1 game the lakers arent what they were last yr artest is freakintrash kobe and gasolhavent been that great

Old? Is this the same people that were saying this last year before the playoffs and then Kobe went on a tear and shut everyone up, again? So one bad Christmas game and it's time for Kobe to retire. In fact, Kobe's numbers so far this year are better than last year. Best in years, actually. Please Log In to post.
