I think it'd be easier and much more practical to have the game in an actual arena.

Well I guess their main motivation is selling more tickets because they chose a big city, and a huge stadium.
But I imagine it's going to be a pain for the NBA to bring in some hardwood, and dress up the stadium.

im sure they'll have no problem putting a court there.
bring it to NYC. Be it in BKLYN Nets Arena (w/e they will call it) or MSG.Tjeremiah1988The nets arena may not be built.
