New Medowlands looks nice. The Vikings need a new one as well, here is a drawing of the desgin.

http://www.stadiumguide.com/nfl/vikingsnew.htm

More designs, not sure how reliable that site is BTW. They really need that. Any other teams need a new stadium?

You can go to pigskinfever and see some pics of the construction, IMO it looks nicer than the Cowboys stadium simply because it's actually outdoors and it doesn't have the giant TV hanging over the middle of the field it's off to the side of the grandstand. Freakin' weak if the Vikes get a retractable roof and the Twins don't!

Vikings ownership doesn't want that, they want to move to LA. They had a deal and walked away from it.

I thought they were getting one after Target Field? It's kinda sad to see the Gophers get a new stadium before the Vikes :? (was it new or just renovated?) Anywho, we're getting someone, i wonder if anyone has updates from the build site, if not i need to get out to Industry to take some pics.

It is just a show. They had a good deal with Anoka County and walked away from it. Now they just up the ante on how much they demand from the sate and how much they spend making sure they look like they're trying but trying to ensure they don't get a deal so they can move.

It looks like a stadium episode of that old MTV Cribs show. Just because you blow a bunch of dough and add stuff right and left doesn't make a good stadium.

I think even a fairly low budget stadium like Heinz Field looks better.

From what I heard no deal was put in place to pay for that stadium, also if they want to go to LA they are out of luck because a few other teams are looking here. This includes the Raiders who already have a huge installed fanbase here. Its Minny or Canada for the Vikes.

Now I haven't been a football fan for that many years, but wasn't this already a rumor like... three different times? Vikings aren't going anywhere (most likely) they will either stay in the Metrodome for a few more years or they will use the Metrodome contract and the LA possibility to force us to pay for their new stadium, I HIGHLY doubt they will move.

The base in Minny is to strong for them to move. But they NEED a new stadium, that deal in place for the metrodome is highway robbery.

They had a deal with Anoka County. Payment and all. Then before the legislature the Vikings floated the idea of putting a roof on the stadium but to have the state or Anoka County pay for it.... without telling anyone from Anoka County. They sabotaged the deal. Since then they've been proposing bigger and more expensive spending plans with each plan the Vikings contribute less and less and expect the state to pay for it. They know this likely won't fly, but they have to look like they're trying before they leave.

The previous owner did want to move. He even put a MN home preseason game in his home town rather in MN. However, he found he could sell the team to the current owners at an inflated price so he took that option.

It's pretty obvious the 49ers have the worst stadium in all of sports...they need a new one in SF...or they are moving to Santa Clara

LA is probably getting Jacksonville or San Diego. San Diego's lease on their stadium runs out in 2011 and the owner of Jacksonville wants to sell the team because they're losing money. I think Minny is using LA to get a new stadium built, like half of the teams that got new stadiums in the past decade. I know the 49ers are doing the same thing.

That's the same stadium they share with the Raiders. Any of the mix-used Stadium sucks. But Candlestick really sucks for football because it was originally built for baseball, now that the SF Giants moved out of it, it's really inadequate for it's needs.

SD makes the most sense. You keep them in the AFC west which makes since by location. The SD fans can still go to the games cause it's only like a 2 hour drive.

Supposedly it's a place holder for more suites that will be built when Indy hosts the Super Bowl.

There's no way, i don't think the Bay area will allow it, i wouldn't want to steal the 9ers even if i was a fan growing up. I'd soon rather steal the Chargers  They were already in LA before so.............................SD will really hate us as it is we take over their ballpark when the Dodgers are in town. We'll give you the Clippers hows that?

Oh god no... UGH... Raiders (especially their fans) are the worse, keep them in Oakland please. One of the reasons the Raiders moved back to Oakland was because people weren't coming to their games because people were afraid of Raider fans.

Idk, 9ers ownership is pretty desperate for cash flow. I wouldn't mind LA stealing the Chargers, faithful charger fans could make the commute.

LOL. You have the wrong idea of Raider fans and as one I take great offence to what you said. All teams have their bad fans and I can ASSURE that Raider fans are some of the most loyal out there and to assume people didnt come because they were afraid of them is silly.

We'll give you the Clippers hows that?MoonMarvel
Idk, 9ers ownership is pretty desperate for cash flow. I wouldn't mind LA stealing the Chargers, faithful charger fans could make the commute.

Oh god no, Keep the Chargers away from LA for as long as possible.

I like this proposal, put the Chargers in LA, and call them the San Diego Chargers of Los Angeles

[QUOTE="LoserMike"][QUOTE="MoonMarvel"] The raiders were in LA before to and have a nice fanbase here. Id rather have them, SD can keep the chargers,MoonMarvel

Oh god no... UGH... Raiders (especially their fans) are the worse, keep them in Oakland please. One of the reasons the Raiders moved back to Oakland was because people weren't coming to their games because people were afraid of Raider fans.

LOL. You have the wrong idea of Raider fans and as one I take great offence to what you said. All teams have their bad fans and I can ASSURE that Raider fans are some of the most loyal out there and to assume people didnt come because they were afraid of them is silly.

Go to the black hole with a patriots jersey and your a dead man

Better idea, keep them in San Diego where they belong.

Browns fans aren't near as crazy as Raiders fans. Raiders fans wear armor and bring swords to the game. The Dogg Pound is usually just filled with drunk truck drivers wearing masks haha. I got love for the Dogg Pound though, they are pretty loyal

I dont know where you get this stuff, but I went to Raider games the last 2 years of them being in LA and outside the Black Hole all the fans were normal people. This crazy raider myth needs to stop.
