New Orleans Saints now America's Team?

I came across an article on ESPN.com where an ESPN writer proclaimed that the New Orleans Saints are now the "soul of America's city"

• Is it still the Dallas Cowboys?
• The revilitized New Orleans Saints?
• The New England Patriots with their Patriotic theme?
• Pittsburgh Steelers due to them being voted it last year by ESPN fans?
• Or the title of America's team non-existant?

I personlally hate the nickname as well as every other Redskins fan does. I say the Patriots or Steelers should have that title but at the same time, it's not a big deal anymore since the Cowboys haven't won anything in over 10 years.

Dallas is America's Team because they got the biggestTV of any team. plus everything's bigger in Texas.

It should be the Colts, under-the-radar team compared to Saints and Pats, They are America's team compared to those other scrubs then Saints

If there had to be an "America's team" right now it would certainly be the Saints. Not to sound too corny, but they'd be the epitome of the American dream if they go 19-0 considering how they were never even close to this good. They are, at this point in time, a much more likable bunch than the Colts who won the Superbowl several years ago. The Saints have never even been to the Superbowl.

Totally there are TONS of Cowboys fans here at New Mexico. I'm suprised there aren't a lot of Colts fans but here are the NFL teams at NM opinion

1) Cowboys

2) Broncos

3) Raiders (WTF!)

There's always Cowboys fans! At random events you will see Cowboys fans, they are next after the mandatory Yankee Fan and random Red Sox fan. Dodger game? Check, even if they are playing the Cincinnati Reds. Kings game? For sure, front row even, and they aren't playing the Dallas Stars............so you can see how hate for that team can be fueled......drive down the street, Cowboys logos on cars along with some random Laker or USC logo.......X360PS3AMD05

When it comes to most hated, I think it's a toss up between the Lakers and Celtics. In the NFL, I also think it's a toss up between the Cowboys and Patriots.

Although that logic definitely helps your case with the Yankees becaus they are the most hated in the MLB.

It's when I started watching football so no wonder I'm a Cowboys fan. (Helped that my dad was before too.)
