[QUOTE="waynehead895"][QUOTE="starwarsjunky"]anyone else getting sick of the whole eagles vs cowboys debate on these forums? all you hear is we've got more rings. yeah, but we've done better in playoffs recently. yeah, but we have more rings. yeah, but we've been doing better recently....Seabas989

Yeah why aren't the Redskins and Cowboys fans fighting like this?

It might have to do with T.O. and that 44-6 victory for the Cowboys. At the start of last season, the Cowboys fans hated the Giants because of that plaoff loss. Now it's the Eagles simply because that loss was embarrassing to the Cowboys fans.

However with T.O. gone, that rivalry won't be as intense as the last couple of seasons.

Nah this is before the last 2 seasons. I'm told the Cowboys and Redskins are supposed to be the best of the best rivals... but Eagles fans and Cowboys fans have been going at it harder for quite some time. Maybe it has to do with Cheering Irvin's career Injury. I'd take it back that far.

I forgot about that.

Anyway, any game that involves to NFC East teams will be entertaining to watch. I am a Redskins fan and I hope we can finally win the division since we aven't done so since 99. Although I would love to see a dream match between the Redskins and Cowboys in the playoffs since I wasn't alive when they did meet in the playoffs.

Even though at this point this thread has doubtless become an arguement between Cowboy and Eagle fans I'll still post in it.

I see the Cowboys having a good season, this is the year that Romo and the boys pull it all together, there were times last season that they seemed to be scoring at will. The loss of Owens will obviously take a bit of firepower out of Garret's hands, but I think Dallas has plenty of ways to compensate.

Even though they're the least favorites... it's hard to laugh cause it's still a legitmate pick. There is no right or wrong pick in this division. Some think they can send 3 teams in the post season.

Cowboys- Well injuries and dumb mistakes pretty much determined the season for the Cowboys. The distractions are now gone, so in my opinion this is going to be an even more pressurized season for Tony Romo. He does not have that safety net anymore of other individuals getting the heat for the Cowboys losing. Its all on him now to perform in the month of Dec. and Jan. If Romo can be what he is in Sept-Nov in the months of Dec-Jan. Then they willhave a better chance, but regardless of how Romo plays, which this next statement includes him. If they don't cut out the penalties and the turnovers they will not make it to the playoffs. Out of all the things that hurt them last year I believe ifit wasn't for their lack of discipline and making stupid penalities after panelties they would probably would have made it to the playoffs. Bottom line is Wade better be a hard coach and not a pansy or they will be golfing early once again.

Giants- I'm not too sure of either theywill win the division or have a mediocre year there is no in between for them. Without Buress I believe this team is a totally different and it showed when he was gone at the end of last year. They had no passing game and when you can't balance it out with the run game all you have to do is stop one aspect and that is the running game. Thats what happened down the stretch to them. No passing game and because of that people just stacked up in the box and stopped the running game. Eli also has to be consistent if they want to even make it to the playoffs. If he can't be consistent forget about them going anywhere, too many times have I seen this guy throw a 300 yard 3 TD, no Int game and then the next week throw for 145 yards, no TDs, and 2 INTs. if they are going anywhere much like the Cowboys it all relies on the shoulders of their QBs.

Skins- Well Cambell pretty much has to showhe canbe consistent as well. Can Clinton porties stay healthy which is the main heart to that offense and can Moss stay healthy as well? I think the Skins D is pretty good every year and with the addition of Hayesworth i believe that won't be their issue. It will on rely on whether Cambell is consistent and if Portis can stay healthy. That will determine this teams season.

Eagles- Well as much of a Cowboys fan I am, it doesn't matter how bad things are going for this team they always seem to find a way to win. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Andy Reed and his staff. As long as they have that they always have a chance. If McNabb can stay healthy as well as Westbrook this team will be good. Their D is going to be fine IMO, but I really believe it all depends on if McNabb and Westbrook can be healthy and consistent.

They weren't last year either and look how that turned out. I'm a Cowboys fan as well, but one thing you can't do is overlook Philly. Look what happened last year when we did.

The Cowboys can be very good if Flozell Adams doesn't have a false start every other play, and if Romo doesn't commit easy fumbles and interceptions.
