wow dude, you're all over the place loyalty-wise...

At least I stuck with them after this season..yeah, I was pretty much screwed during the Super Bowl, since both teams were rivals of my teams, but I wanted the Giants to win, because words don't even come close to how much I hate the Pats, and to be honest, I don't feel threatend by the Giants at all unlike the Cowboys, maybe because the Eagles have won the NFC East for so long, and they haven't, IMO, made much noise in the NFL till last season(The Giants). I at least have respect for Eli Manning, mostly since he's the brother of one of the best QBs of all time, but that's it.

The problem is, I don't want Moss, if there's any chance at all, to be another TO for us. I know his track history, Granted, he calmed down last season, but still, there's always that chance...

I'm going to throw up again. These contracts are laughable. What are the Steelers thinking?

[QUOTE="murlow12"]NFL free agency is disgusting. Some of these signings just make me sick. Stallworth got a 7 year deal? WTF? And 6 years for Briggs and Berrian? Since when do these above-average players get such longterm deals? What has happened to football?xbox360isgr8t

briggs is worth a 6 year deal buddy.

I would argue that almost nobody in the NFL is worthy of a 6 year deal. Aside from maybe franchise-type QBs, there are just too many unknowns in the NFL. Too many injuries, and a guy's success largely relies on the system. These long contracts are terrible, and I think it will fix itself in a few years when 90% of these guys turn out to be busts and not worth all the money.

There's no choice. If you want the service of a top tier player in this league, you have to give him security and insurance. The same as in all other professions. The players know one hit and they can be done, so when they have the choice of getting a long term deal done, they'll do anything to get it. That one hit won't take away all of their potential money then. From the player's point of view it looks pretty fair and the teams have to draw the line somewhere. If they're going to risk that hit for their team every Sunday, they have the right to get a deal that forces the team to pay the player if it does happen.

I'm most certainly questioning his fanhood. I'd love an explanation.

These threads come up every couple weeks, and there never is a legitimate explanation. All we ever hear is "I can like who I want to like" and other garbage like that. I will never be able to understand how someone can just pick a team from 3000 miles away and start rooting for them.

I agree, those are the real "bandwagon" fans. Its okay to "root" for a team thats far away, but you should have a darned good reason.

These threads crack me up. How people don't understand why you can'be a fan of a team that you have no association with. Hilarious.

Because the Eagles got me into the NFL. Because the Colts have a young team. Because the Red Sox have a lot of talent, I focus mainly on young talent, which is why I hope the Eagles get some good players in the draft.

Because where I live, my state doesn't have a pro football team.

Well there you go, that's a pretty good reason. But you probably still have a close team that most people in your area root for. I guess if you live in Alaska or Hawaii or another country you can pick whoever you want.

I don't always pick the teams that are good just because they are good. It's when they have young talent, and can keep their mouths shut, which is why I hate the Cowboys and Pats.

Did anyone else hear that the Cardinals signed Travis Laboy, not a major move but still a move
