So glad for the win. Had a four-hour drive today and it's not every day that we get several inches of snow in Atlanta, so I only saw the very end. Lol @ Vick. Can't wait for some revenge against Chokelanta.GamerForca
That's weird..........there is no conflict of interest? "Chokelanta" when you like other Atlanta teams? I will never understand some people i guess..
the Ravens always beat the PatsQuistisTrepe_
WHAAAAA, someone go look that up because i think it's the other way around, one fluke playoff win aside..........

No conflict of interest, and I only use the "Chokelanta" remark during football season when referring to the Falcons and Georgia Suck. I mean Tech. Though they do suck.

This was THE most satisfying GB play-off win I have ever seen... by freaking far... I was so sick of listening to Vick Puppies declare them the best team ever... they ran their mouths so hard, and now they can return to the kennel for a good electrocution or drowning... I honestly feel this, they were all pathetic...

Gotta love the NFC East: Chokeboys fans, Deadskins fans, Giants fans and Dog Killer fans. Too bad no NFC East remains, always more fun.

So happy my Packers won. I know for a fact that wearing this piece of styrofoam cheese on my head helps them win. I can't prove it, but it works :P

First off, the reason I "disapear" has nothing to do with hiding... I am actually quite poor and don't always have access to the Internet... I get on at the Community College library(like right now), and don't have internet at home... so don't assume you know anything about me... I go long periods of time wothout posting in OT as well(check for yourself, I sometimes go a month without posting cause I am too busy scraping together enough money to survive, and don't have time to post in Sports Disscussion), and frankly don't appreciate the insinuation...

I've been a die hard Packers fan since I was a child, so again, don't presume to know anything aboteut me...

As for being a Vick hater... so what? I never said I was anything but a Vick hater, and never tried to hide it... Hard for you to imagine, but sports are about emotions, and hate is one of those...

I HATE the Vikings, I HATE the Bears, and I HATE Michael Vick... thats what sports are about, love and hate... I LOVE GB, and I LOVE the Eagles getting hood chekced by my Packers after listening to Eagles fans talk smack and run their mouths about how they were walking to the SB...(BTW, I never named names, so don't take things so personally)... face it... Eagles fans cashed thier checks before they cleared, and now you have to listen to dog jokes for a while... if GB had lost, I would have had to listen to "Aaron Rodgers can't get it done" until next year... that comes with losing...

But whatever, I have said my piece... I'm done with the whole thing, and am lookinf forward... just try not to assuming things about people you don't know...

All I read was hot air and I didnt assume anything. You do what what I and others mentioned but its nice you gave a reason why. But I dont care why, its just from what I've seen and other posters have seen. With the limitations you have, you still, when you do post, create mumbo jumbo but I learned to ignore it. And good luck in college and hope you recover from your struggles. I too know how hard it can be.

Also, if the Receiver saw that he wasn't going to catch it, he should have at least fought for it. If he had to, he should have grabbed the other guy's arms and taken the penalty instead of giving up.

I'm looking at it now. He didn't try to get back to the ball, looked like he was hoping it would fall into his hands and kept going while Williams stopped and caught it at it's highest point. It's cool he's a rookie, and you can't blame him for making a rookie mistake. Just like last year, and the year before that and the year before that, we'll get them next year.

Honestly I feel like Aker's 2 missed FGs is what really doomed Philly. You can't leave 6 easy points on the field in a tight playoff game.

I excuse one of them. A 50 yard field goal in that wind... not easy. If he would have made one of the two Vick wouldn't have HAD to go for the TD, and instead get into field position for a potential game winning kick. However, the Rookie made no effort to stop the Interception. Even after Williams caught the TD, he was dancing around, carrying the ball with one hand after the pick, he didn't attempt to grab the ball from him. Aker's kick shows that he's human, and it happens for kickers, the interception shows a lack of effort on the WR part.

Uh, the interception shows that Vick got greedy. The ball was underthrown and that's on Vick, not the receiver. I can't blame the rookie here.

Did you read what I said... I said on the other page that if Vick threw higher and to the outside that would have been a TD, however, a smart/veteran player would have prevented the DB from catching the ball. I've seen countless times when a ball it battered in the air a smart offensive player knocks the ball to the ground.

The ball was underthrown. The primary roll of a wide receiver is to catch the ball, not to bat it down. He was thinking touchdown the whole way, which he should have been. That interception is purely Mike Vick's fault. No blame whatsoever should be given to Cooper.

If the ball was higher up and in the corner of the endzone he would of had a shot. Saying, "Well, the WR should have batted it down." is simply a cop out.

ImaPirate0202

*sigh* Listen... I am NOT saying the ball wasn't under thrown. I am saying after he realized that it was underthrown he should have fought for it instead. Best case, he gets an Defensive Pass Interference or catches it. Worse case he gets an offensive pass interference and it only a Penalty instead of a INT.

The primary role is to catch the ball, however, the primary goal of the entire offense is to score. There are certain circumstances that occur in a football game in which catching the ball is not the best play for the team. For instance, 10 seconds on the clock with no time outs down by 3 and you are 10 yards away from your Kickers range. If you are in the middle of the field, and the QB makes the mental lapse of throwing it to you, it's actually better to NOT catch the ball because you won't have enough time to get back to the line or try a field goal. Not catching the ball allows you one Hail mary chance at victory, catching the ball however ends the game if you don't score a TD on that play.

You are right the interception is Vick's fault as I said here

Fact of the matter is, if Vick threw a better ball (higher and to the sideline) that would have been a Touchdown.

No_Hablo_Ingles

However, that doesn't mean that the WR isn't also responsible. If you look at the play, which I have many times, you would see that Cooper gave Williams position. That isn't a cop out, numerous games have been decided by smart plays by smart/veteran players. Do I blame him for not doing it? Not at all, as I said earlier

ImaPirate0202

Between the DB and the Corner? You didn't see the play close enough then. Copper looked back at the ball and could have stop, and instead chose to keep going (behind Williams) to try and catch the ball. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5NhnGy4WkY

Cooper didn't even have to bat the ball down. Grab Williams arms. Grab his face mask. Anything that would prevent the INT, but alas I guess it's somewhat wrong of me to expect a rookie to make a savy Vet move. Next year will be the year though.

[QUOTE="ImaPirate0202"]There was too much separation, he couldn't have batted the ball down if he wanted to.
