That was definitely a fumble. Pretty good call.

Silverbond

Haha, no it wasn't. Whatever they called as the initial call should have been what they stayed with as there was no evidence that it was or wasn't a fumble. The ref butchered that call.

Yeah. It was a fumble. Dude clearly dropped the ball.

clearly? were you watching the same game?

You do have to feel for Zorn, though.rockguy92

Zorn's a scapegoat. Some players haven't played up to potential, there have been some injuries, and overall they've had a pretty decent season considering. It's just that every time something goes wrong it falls on Zorn's head when, from what I've heard, management is actually more culpable.

can someone explain the fumble in the Saints game in OT. How was it a fumble when it was ruled down and no one recovered it because it was ruled down and then to reward the Saints the ball? Just asking :?

K, this is what happened. Refs handed Saints the game. There ya go.

but seriously, like I said above. Whatever call refs made on the field should have remained the call because nothing in that was enough to change the play.

If the Ravens win tommorow then yes. The problem with Pittsburgh is that other teams are playing better then they are at this moment. Losing Polamalu is not an excuse anymore, especially against a bad Raiders offense.

I wouldn't go that far. Washington let them back in the game to begin with. Dude missed an extra point. Worst kicker in the NFL last year and we keep him for God knows what reason.

Agreed. Last season we had the worst kicker and punter. At least we replaced the punter.

Plus Campbell is not clutch. He played great but he had the chance to put us in fg range but he throws an interception when it mattered the most.

Even if they make the Wild Card they're not going very far. They've to just about every team they could possibly face in the first round, and teh way they've been playing lately i wouldn't expect them to fare any different.

It's true that they blew the kick but come on, that call was horrible and even the call before half time could raise an eyebrow. It's like the NFL wants the Saints and Colts to be undefeated at the Suberbowl. Sorry for sounding like a nut, it's not that big of a deal.

Aren't going deep either. Bad division, bad running game, bad pass D, all bodes bad for them in the playoffs.

no injuries, but they're not as good as last season, that's pretty clear

fitzgerald was dominant last season, very jerry rice like...this season...not so much

But still, they had the chance to put it away with the FG. Was basically an extra point.

All of you guys are hating on the Saints. The ball was clearly coming out before his elbow was down, and McAllister recovered in bounds. And how in the hell can you say the refs gave the Saints the game, you didn't watch it then. Look at the penalties. I can't tell you how many calls the refs missed for the Redskins. Several pass interference calls and a few face mask calls.

You got to give Brees credit for tying it with no TO's and basically going the whole field that fast.

I'm not arguing based on record, I'm saying they've lost to the Bengals twice, the Ravens once, and now have dropped two straight games against teams that should be easy wins. They've got the Packers, Ravens, and Dolphins to close the season and if they don't go into the post season with some momentum from those games they're dead.

I'm not hating on the Saints at all. i said many times they got back in the game, can't blame it on the refs. BUT, that call, no matter how it was called on the field, should have stayed that way. there was no evidence to change that play either way at all.

Obviously it's a judgment call, but everybody I was with saw the ball coming loose before his elbow hit. FOX had a better angle of it, showed it once, and then went to a worse angle and still showed the ball coming out.

And both announcers said he was either down or there is no way you can reverse a call that was so damn close. I honestly thing there is zero chance that play had conclusive evidence to turn it either way.

Are you really going to believe the announcers? They were so terrible today. They also thought Kareem Moore was down on his interception.

Who really cares? The Skins' kicker missed a chip shot and their secondary got burned in OT, they had plenty of chances to win that game and didn't. The call might suck, but you can't say the Skins didn't also beat themselves.

Not at all, i came to my own judgment. I'm just saying I've only seen two people, both on these forums say it was a fumble. I see it like this. If the refs called it a fumble at first, i have no problem with it staying a fumble. But that play shouldn't have been overturned, either way.

Guess you didn't notice the rule change in the off-season after that debacle in the Denver-San Diego game last year. The Saints recovered the ball even after the whistles were blown. You can now challenge that play despite the ball being blown dead.

[QUOTE="Tjeremiah1988"][QUOTE="geaux321"]All of you guys are hating on the Saints. The ball was clearly coming out before his elbow was down, and McAllister recovered in bounds. And how in the hell can you say the refs gave the Saints the game, you didn't watch it then. Look at the penalties. I can't tell you how many calls the refs missed for the Redskins. Several pass interference calls and a few face mask calls.Bobbles
but wasnt the ball dead? How can you recover?

Guess you didn't notice the rule change in the off-season after that debacle in the Denver-San Diego game last year. The Saints recovered the ball even after the whistles were blown. You can now challenge that play despite the ball being blown dead.

oh wow . Well, thanks :(

Yeah, the defense/special teams looked like ****. Poor tackling killed them today. Romo looked really good though, so I don't wanna hear anything about the loss being Romo's fault.

Yeah but he wasn't perfect either.

If I were a Cowboy fan I'd also blame it on the defense and special teams. Losing twice to the Giants is gonna hurt Dallas in the long run.

Well no one plays "perfect", just saying this loss should not fall on Romo.

Man, near the end of the early games it looked like I might get two losses for the week tops, now it looks like I'm going to get at least five. Damn teams not playing consistently and losing close games.
