NHL 07 is good because of the skill stick, but the gameplay is still somewhat bad. You can still lay out people with Martin St.Louis and the AI can be dumb at times. But the skill stick somewhat makes up for it. NHL 2K7 is neat because of the cinematics but the gameplay is the same. If you want realistic gameplay then get 2K7 if you want realistic controls get 07.

Exactly! Also, the gameplay is MUCH better in NHL 07. Plus, NHL 2K7 feels like NHL 2K5... which is not a good thing. It's not next gen at all and just has features... I'd rather have sick gameplay and an amazing control scheme (skill stick) than features because features only last so long... If the gameplay is subpar then you won't care about features. The skill stick alone makes this game worth it. Best hockey game since NHL 93 (where you could make players bleed!)!
07 has the graphics but is massively arcadey and gives no good realistic gameplay, also it is very, very easy, you can easily outshoot the comp on difficult with sliders like 49-10 and win like 7-1 all the time, where in nhl 2k7 you can actually have a realistic game, and get blown out sometimes, so NHL 2K7 is way better tahn NHL 07..
