@GameboyTroy: "They need to play their usual offense which is very good."
I'm in the Chicago market so I don't see a lot of Raptors games. What is their "usual offense"

Their usual offense is passing a lot, shooting 3s and mid range shots, attacking the rim, drawing fouls and taking care of the ball.
@PSP107 What do you think of Rose and Butler now in the playoffs? I'm very stoked the way they've been playing so far, although I'm said that Mirotic is hurt and Pachulia needs to be suspended for 1 game.

If Butler can continue this, the Bulls should be unstoppable as James can't guard Rose, Gasol and Butler at the same time. That's how the heat survived that 2011 matchup because all the heat did was put James on Rose knowing no other Bulls player can create their own shot.
A healthy Mirotic along with Brooks help with bench scoring.

I like your spirit! Let's keep seeing red and GO BULLS!!!
Well, Woj confirmed what I thought- Josh Smith will be signing with the Rockets once he clears waivers in an hour or so. Not surprising.
He is joining the only contender that could offer anything more than the minimum.
Do you like this move? Is he starting?
I'm... indifferent to the move at the moment.
I live in Atlanta, so I've seen a lot of Josh Smith in the past, and I take the effort to watch at least 20 basketball games for each team. Fact of the matter is, Josh Smith does not pass the eye test or the advance stat test. It's odd that Morey, someone who makes all personal decisions based off stats, wants him, which probably means he knows something not in 'traditional' advance stats.
Personally, I see this as a buy low. If he signs for the Bi-annual (which I suspect) he will only get paid 2 million. That's pretty low for someone who isn't that far removed from All-Star seasons.
He likely starts with Dwight. That will be really interesting. I remember back in his Atlanta days Josh Smith and Horford ran a 4-5 pick and roll. Josh being the primary ball handler. It was one of the most effective sets that any team ran that year.
Posted this like 4 months ago. Finally got to see the 4-5 pick and roll last night against Dallas. It worked to near perfection. Josh Smith was AMAZING game 2. They made Tyson Chandler (who was constantly put in bad situations) and Dirk (who is too slow to guard either Dwight or Josh) look very bad.

They didn't look very bad, jesus, Dallas's p&r d looked like utter shit. 9 assists for Smith, and 6 dunks in 12 minutes for the Rockets, with James Harden sitting on the bench. Tough break for Dallas with no Chandler Parsons. They maybe could have put Parsons on Smith towards the end there.

I'm sure Dallas will make adjustments. This series isn't over.
Parsons was out and will be for the rest of the season.
I have no doubt they will make adjustments, but the question on my mind is if it really matters? Coaching is very important, but one team looks fairly over matched to the point that no amount of coaching can make up for the lack of talent.
@sherman-tank1:
They need a closer.
@PSP107 Did my eyes deceive me? I just witness the Derrick Rose of old, before his first ACL tear
@FireEmblem_Man:
Bring on the Cavs?
I think we can beat the Cavs! As long as the Bulls can keep playing this intensity, we can beat them as long as they can play defense.
@FireEmblem_Man:
This would of been a good night if the White Sox and Blackhawks won too =(
Yeah.... Too bad.... :(
Celtics staying competitive every game. That's all I can ask for this season.
I'm betting that Boston will probably get the money to afford Kevin Durant off a Thunder uniform and put on the Green. The way I'm seeing OKC's situation is that they don't have good players that improved since they made the finals in 2011-2012. Both Westbrook and Durant are vocal leaders, but they can't see eye to eye with each other. I say it's best for KD to join a young Boston squad that's ready to win in a couple years and with all the playoff experience they have now.
Ugh, watching the Hawks/Nets made me wish the Celtics had finished as #8 seed rather than the #7 seed so they could have played the Hawks in the opening round. The Nets are a mid range jumper at the buzzer from being up 3-1 in this series right now and the Celtics came into the playoffs playing much better basketball.
Brook Lopez is crucifying Al Horford.
I was looking at the play-by-play for the game today, and three of Horford's five personal fouls were shooting fouls drawn by Lopez. Horford simply cannot stop him.

@PSP107: Don't really see my post as being that hard to interpret. Judging by the way the Nets have played the Hawks so far, it seems clear the Celtics would have had a much better chance to win in the first round if they were the #8 seed (and thus matched up against the #1 seeded Hawks) rather than the #7 seed (which caused us to face a better opponent in the Cavs).

Umm I knew what you meant.
East is very wide open. A month ago I didn't think the Wizards would make it past the 1st round. Now they have a chance of making it as far as the ECF with what I've seen the past two weeks in the playoffs.
I mean the Hawks and Nets are tied, Kevin Love is out, and the Bulls are beatable with the way the Bucks haven't quit.
........and the Bulls are beatable with the way the Bucks haven't quit.
Oh really? After what the Bulls did the the Bucks last night, I fear the Wizards should be scared for going against a powerful Bulls team. Your dirty Wizards will be Wizzed on by the Bulls compared to last year.

Took you six games after a 3-0 lead.
You should be worried about stopping LBJ.

I'm not worried, this is the first time the Bulls had their starters all playing. Bucks may have been young, but they're a young talented team with a good couch and the 2nd best defense of the season. Giannis Antetoukumpo is their franchise player, and Jabari Parker coming back next season will add more power in their offense that will compliment their already established defense.
Why I'm not worried for Lebron and his Cavs? Kevin Love is out, AJ Smith is suspended for 2 games, this is the first match Bulls will play the Cavs at full strength and it's going to be all coaching. Also, Bulls have more stars and a better bench than the Cavs. I'm not being over-confident, but the Bucks have made the Bulls a good sparring match to be ready against them. Lebron can't win the series on his own, and I know they will lock down on Kyrie Irving and force Lebron to carry the team.
****. That was a monumental victory for the Clippers.
...and, most importantly, all of the teams remaining have either not won a championship (Clips, Memphis, Cavs.), or have not won it in the past 20 years (Bulls, Rockets, Warriors, Wizards, Hawks).
damn i fell asleep but that was a good game, go clippers!!!
Is that a jab at the spurs? Falling asleep watching tim Duncan dominate teams with that over-the-shoulder-bank-shot-off-the-glass, again; as always?
