Wow, 6 years $50 mil (18 mil garunteed)? This makes him the second highest paid reciever behind Larry Fitzgerald. How is this guy worth that much? :?

Then they should've drafted a receiver right? I'm not saying he's bad, but is he that good to be the second highest paid receiver in the league?

Arthur Blank is the same guy that wanted to give Michael Vick 100 mil plus. With that said, I think he'll prove that he's worth it. Get used to hearing "Ryan to White, Touchdown!" for years to come. I'm not positive, but I think Whites numbers are very comparable to the other top receivers....at least when it comes to last year.

Good reciever? yes. Second best reciever in the NFL? I don't think so.

He, like Fitzgerald, had a breakout season. Time will tell if they keep it up but they are both pretty pretty damn good based on last year's performance solely.

Dwayne Bowe had respectable numbers when Gonzalez was still there and that was with huge questions at QB. Sure Roddy White's stats might drop a little but with Turner and Gonzalez taking some heat off White, you can argue that his stats will increase with Ryan at helm.

thats true...but dwayne bowes stats didnt compare to whites last year...bowe will have a break out year this year now that they have cassel and hes really the only WR on the team... but gonzalez will be taking stats away from white and the falcons will be a run first offense for a while

As great as a tight end gonzalez is, I doubt that he will really interfere with the receivers getting the ball.

White proved to me that he was the real deal last season. If he stays consistent and is as productive as he was last year, then it will be worth it for the Falcons. They sure as heck need him, I know that much. He played no small role in helping Ryan lead the Falcons to 11-5 in his rookie year. Though, I do still think Douglas would have been their top receiver this year had he not got injured.

Yeah, it sucks he got injured. He was pretty good. and chAzN, even though they don't, they will still probably be the primary targets
