[QUOTE="MoonMarvel"]You are basing all of this off of some camps and one pre season game? Sanchez is nothing until he proves he is something in the REGULAR SEASON. Saying anything less is just rushing on this guy. Seriously, Ryan Leaf looked great in the Pre-Season.Jaysonguy

So you think that Clemens and Sanchez should rotate in the regular season until one shows that he should be the starter?

That's a very bad idea

I never said that.

 Stop putting words in my mouth, I never said that.

Well I said make him the starter and you said wait until you see how he plays in the regular season.

The only way he could play in the regular season and not be the starter would be if they rotated players

*Sigh* You are acting like he is the best thing since sliced bread, a clear star. I am just stating he is not a star until he proves his worth in the regular season. Nowhere does that imply not starting him.

I don't know how this will turn out but I don't think Clemens will do any better than Sanchez if he got the nod.

Clemens isn't a rookie so Sanchez has more of an upside.

calling sanchez the real deal, is disrespectful to quarter backs like matt ryan and joe flacco, who had to prove they are the real deal by going 11-5....you mean sanchez has already proved he is the real deal by going 6-12 in the pre season?

when sanchez carries his team to the playoffs he is the real deal, until then he is not.

Not at all

Know what makes him the real deal?

When he threw that INT and got roughed up on Monday night and held it together to score

That's all the Jets players have been talking about since that night. Jerricho Cotchery said that after that night it's clear that Sanchez has "it"

I'm not sure I would put Flacco in that category. The dude wasn't bad, but he had that great defense where Ed Reed alone matches every opponent's score.

Yeah, well we'll see how good Flacco and Ryan are now that other teams will know what their tendencies are.

[QUOTE="LTomlinson21"][QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]

Why do you think this is his first action?

He's already caught up to Clemens at camp

You make it sound like this is the first time he's been behind center for the Jets

Jaysonguy

Like catching up to Clemens means anything.

Of course it does, Clemens is the one who he's competing against

Sanchez doesn't need to beat out Brady or Manning or Brees, he needs to beat out Clemens

Well said dude...I agree.

I think that he can be a good quarterback but I do not see him doing anything special in his first year as a starter for the Jets.

Sanchez had a very nice first outing. Still wish he was tossing the ball at USC. Barkley had my nerves going against Ohio. But he got the win and thats what matters. But hey best wishes to Sanchez and his pro career. It could be very special.
