Link to article(Gamespot wont let me link so: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/blog/the_dagger/post/Villanova-s-Scottie-Reynolds-goes-from-All-Ameri?urn=ncaab,251408 )

Favorite quote:

"A little-known Senegalese forward who averaged 5.2 points a game in the French League this past season was among the players drafted on Thursday night. A college star who averaged 18.5 points and 3.3 assists and led Villanova to a surprise Final Four berth in 2009 was not."

With all due respect to that Senegalese forward for working hard and being dafted, how can teams pass up on such a great player like Scottie Reynolds? This isin't like a situation in Duke where all their players are great on the team, and are either great or a bust in NBA. He was single handedly always the main factor for Villanova! He helped that team so much with talent and leadership, and he doesn't even get drafted?

And 2 others stars, Scheyer and Collins did not get drafted.

Thoughts on this?

I forgot all about those players!!! I'm surprised none of them got drafted especially Sherron Collins. Scottie's a solid player too but I'm sure some team will sign one of them eventually. OMG I just now realized none of them got drafted. I wonder why someone like Jerome Jordan got drafted but a solid player like Scottie Reynolds didn't?

I'm surprised Collin's didn't get drafted... He's a nate robinson clone pretty much... not bad for a 2nd round pick. I liked Sheyer but I don't know about his game translating to the pros... I remember Reynolds being a highly touted freshman, i watched a ton of his games because there always on espn.. he seemed pretty good. Wouldn't be surprised to see a top team sign one of these guys and turn them into a contributing player.

I've always enjoyed watching Reynolds play at Nova, I heard he he dropped out of the draft though. I hope he gets a chance with a team, I think he has the potential to positively contribute.

I don't understand that either..And he siglehandedly was the main reason for Villanova's success during his time there.[QUOTE="MethodManFTW"]I'm surprised Collin's didn't get drafted... I think he can become a great player in the NBA. I can see him turn into another Aaron Brooks.

I'm suprise Reynols didn't get drafted, same with Scheyer.

People look too much into intangblesand projectons. Scheyer is a good basketall player and will find his way onto a team.

As a Jayhawk fan though im not too suprised about Sherron. If you watched every KU game like I did there are times when you wondered if

Sherron wasnt a freshamn. His decision making is supect and he cant control his weight. He's a good guy so I hope he takes this as motivation.

Sherron got picked up by the Bobcats summer league team so hoepfully all 3 of these guys can make some teams training camp.

I think what teams are worried about with Scheyer is if he ends up a typical Duke draft pick, which is great in college, and just average in the NBA. I think he can be good in the NBA though, and I don't say that about too many Duke players.

I'm actually not too surprised with Sherron as Reynolds and Scheyer. Like you said, he makes silly mistakes, and things like weight problems are not good things to worry about as an NBA team.

no way. isn't nearly quick enough or athletic enough to be successful in the nba. Aaron brooks is a blur to guard. Scottie reynolds can't break down players one on one at the nba level. I think he'll find a spot on a roster though because his athletic limitations should have stopped him from being a productive college player, but they didn't. He won't be able to be like that in the pros, but i def can see him as a solid backup or third stringpg for a decade. Trust me, these nba general managers know what they are doing. There'sa reason that not only didn't he get drafted, his name wasn't even on the top 100 list of prospects and wasn't mentioned at all during the entire draft. There's a reason for that

I feel like Scottie's performance in this year's March Madness really hurt his draft stock. I'm pretty surprised Collins though didn't get drafted tho.

You shouldn't be suprised. As a Jayhawk fan i've watched every game Sherron has played in for 4 years.

He's undersized, has had consatnt weight problems, and is a terrible decison maker. Peopel give the Nate Robinson comparsion but

Sherron sint nearly thr athlete Nate is. I hope Sherron suceeds because I really like him as an individual but I dont think he will have

a productive pro career.

They say that about so many players in almost every sport..Reynolds is a balanced athelete and he is a very good leader.

I am a Jayhawk fan as well and have watched every game Collins has played, I don't care about his height, he still more talented than most of the guys taken in the draft.

Looks like Scottie Reynolds will get his chance to play in the NBA after all : LINK

Granted, it's just the summer league, but if he plays well he might just be picked up.

As a Duke fan I was very sad when I was Schyeyer not get drafted along with Sherron Collins and Manny Harris.

Truthfully, I forgot all about Scottie Reynolds.

I've got good news, Sherron Collins signed with the Bobcats.
