I know it's a slow sports topics lately, but did anyone hear about him getting suspended, or was he let go by ESPN? I heard that they were replacing him with Chris Carter. I didn't really like Sean and his work, but I think he got suspended for saying something that people thought were offensive, or some inappropriate picture. Not sure--does anyone know?

He was replaced by Cris Carter, basically. Salisbury's done with ESPN.

Wow, talk about a downgrade

Carter already helped kill the longest running NFL cable show on TV, now he gets to take down ESPN

The same thing could be said about Jaws, hopefully he's next to go because I cannot stand him sometimes.

I dont' like Chris Carter as well. And if we're on the topic of removing other analysts--get rid of Keyshawn. Wish ESPN could of gotten Daryl "Moose" Johnson--he's a good former dallas player/analyst for Fox I think. Aikman is good too.

I thought Jaws had a good career with the Eagles.

BallsHairy was ok with me. He did come off as smug and arrogant for a guy who was pretty much a bum in the NFL but that was aprt of his charm. So, I'm not too dissapointed he's gone.

How-ev-a...I HATE Chris Carter. He's seems to be a bigger d*ck that SS which is no small feat. He's boring. Not funny. And lacks overall substance.

ESPN needs to wise up and bring back one of the greatest men ever to work the set...Michael "The Playmaker" Irvin.

LOL Irvin. All he did was ride the Cowboys' jock all day when he was on NFL Live. I'm glad he's gone.

i still haven't seen an answer. Did he get fired? Was it a contract dispute? Did his contract simply run out? Or did ESPN just feel Carter was better?

I heard Salisbury's contract was up and ESPN just chose not to renew it.

Salisbury is ... not smart. I'm glad we won't have to listen to him anymore.

Ehhh, he was honest and didn't butter anyone up who was undeserving, I respected that.

I'm not that worried, he'll pick up somewhere on satellite radio and continue

He was stupid. Hopefully Keyshawn takes that job with the Fins and leaves too. Maybe ESPN will be watchable again.

No, I hate on him because he's a freaking moron.

Come to think of it, all three Dallas stars --- Emmitt, Irvin, and Aikman -- are all terrible on TV. Darryl Johnston, on the other hand, is excellent in my opinion.

A week before the Super Bowl, Sean Salisbury said, "The Giants will play them close the entire game." The day before the Super Bowl, Salisbury said, "The Patriots will hang 50 points on them."

-TMQ

Not that anyone gets predictions right but Sean was a master at saying everything. After all if you say everything you're bound to be sort of right.

Word.

I don't like Aikman much either. Emmit & Johnston I'm cool with. Jimmie Johnson I don't even really have a problem with.

 This is so true. One website I visit often, joesportsfan.com, chronicled Salisbury in 2006 when he picked like 20 different people for MVP throughout the season. I wish I could find the link to their recap of it.

Edit: Found it. http://www.joesportsfan.com/column.php?postid=331...scroll down a little.

Meh, Salisbury always seemed a bit annoying and cocky to me. I don't think that Carter is much of an improvement though.
