[QUOTE="dboe313"]dirk and nashare horrible playoff payers that why they get the mvps because that their limitthey get out the way when the big boys come out mohit2003

I really dont think that those two are bad players especially Nash. I mean I understand what you said about Dirk because he had no impact in the playoffs for his team except for the second game they won. However Dirk can take over games in the playoffs, Game7 against the Spurs was a great example. Steve Nash also plays great in playoffs I have seen him rescue his team lots of times in the last moments of games but usually they either have a key player or players missing during the playoffs, either due to injuries or as the case was this year due to suspensions.

alright in the playoffsnash and dirk arent as good as they are in the regular season they somhow comup with ways to lose to the great warriors and last year nash barely escaped the wrath of kobe I think that if your going to be a mvp you cant get dominated by stephen jackson (dirk)and antoine walker(last years finals dirk) its just incredible. nash doesnt it seem crazy that without nash dallas is a much better team

Well players do get better as time goes on maybe Dallas is better because they have a PG better suited to running their style instead of how Nash like to run things. As for Dirk I agree because he rarely takes over games of dominate but I dont feel the same way about Nash, I just think that Phoenix has some bad luck.

I second the Nash part. He did a great job this postseason and they probably would have won the first game if he wasn't sidelined with that split nose and without Amare and Diaw he almost won game 5! He's a stud!

you cant have bad luck three years straight and pg better suited didnt nash win mvp the last 2 years and dirk is sorry golden state handed him his jockstrap josh howard was the only one to really show up above expectations i mean what good is it to have the best record inthe nba and lose to the 8th seed and then catch a case of bad luck

The NBA is all about Match ups Dallas matches up well with Spurs but not with Warriors Jazz are good againstWarriors but bad against the Spurs.

I agree. I have no doubt the Mavs would have beatin the Spurs if they played in the playoffs but GS shot lights out against them and Don Nelson knows every weakness Dirk has. Im sure SA fans feel a little lucky to have a fairly easy road to win the championship. No Mavs, no Detroit, wounded Suns. Grats to the Spurs though. A championship is a championship.

Your sure SA fans feel lucky to have a farily easy road to win the championship??????????? Did you even watch the playoffs man? Come on now!! The Spurs had to hardest road to the championship. First against the budding Nuggets, good team, not a great team but still decent. Then they had to play against a great Suns team. Suns are both great offesive and defense. Then they had to go up against a very strong Utah Jazz team!! They only weak team they had to play was The Cavs! Its like the spurs had to play three championships before the acutal finals!!!!!!

Oh and second, the Mavs would not have beat the Spurs in the playoffs. Every year there is some hot team that everyone in the nba talks about during the regular season. It doesnt mean anything if you cant pull it off in the playoffs!! The Mavs dont play very good defensive and Dirk needs to stop taking so many jumpers and drive in the paint alittle more. Then maybe , they will go somewhere. Dude, they lost in the first round, against the Warriors , who shoot 3-pointers almost allthe time! The Warriors were fun to watch though!! They would be better if they gota good center.

Yeah thats too true, the one thing the regular season will tell you is that the team with the best record will not win the chapionship now. Its all about peaking ar the right time. As for the raptors I totally forgot about them, they really impressed me this year, but I see them as a team that makes the playoffs every year and gets to about the second round before losing. I really thought they should have beaten NJ, its pretty cool though how just about all their players are foreign I think Carlos Delfino will fit in pretty good in Toronto.

I'll go with my heart and pick the Nets, if they can improve the roster. Aside from that I think that the Bulls are one player away from being THE team in the east if they can acquire a starting quality PF and everyone else sleeps in the offseason.

I think the Bulls should trade Gordon and Hinrich and a couple of draft picks for Kobe. The Bulls would be a team to be wreckin with. Kobe, Wallace, Deng!!! It would be almost like the Bulls of the 90s. Wallace reminds me of Rodman so much, rebounding, blocks, awesome defensive, Kobe is Jordan "like", not the next Jordan, but jordan like, and Deng reminds me of Pippen alot.

HAHAHA Man I really wish this would be true but you can really tell with the pistons you would think they would finally be motivated enough next year but I wont be surprised if they have another playoff meltdown. One thing is for sure most people dont see them as contenders anymore which might mean that they finally play with that chip on their shoulder that they had when they won the championship in 04.

I know what you mean and im a big kobe fan I would love to see him stay in LA but if he is to be traded I would want him on that Bulls team with Wallace and Deng, that would at least guarantee them a trip to the finals

Yes, Im sure. As far as SA fans admitting it, that's a different story. Like I said, they know they had a fairly easy road to the championship. Before the playoffs started, it looked hard but once things got going, it got alot easier. Nuggets were not much of a threat, Suns had pretty much everything that could go wrong happen, Utah was essentially the same team as SA but a level below, and the Cavs were obviously no match. From what could have been (hot Denver team, full-strength Suns, Dallas team that has SA's number, and veteran Detroit team looking for revenge) to what happened. So yes, they had a easier than expected road to the championship.

I think the Mavs had the best shot out of any team to beat SA. You could just tell from last year and this year, that SA was beginning to fear the Mavs. That doubt had crept in and once that happens, it's over. You are also wrong about the Mavs defensive ability, top 10 defense during the regular season does mean something and Dirk has been taking it to the hole more and more each year. Now as far as their playoff performance goes, that's a different story, but don't act like they were always like this. Mavs were a totally different team we watched in the playoffs, which is sad b/c I have to listen to people like you thinking they were always like that. It was a essentially the perfect storm. Everything else you say is obvious and nothing new. Mavs are an easy target right now b/c of their tanking job, go find something a little more difficult to point out.
