The players were too amped up/nervous in the match which is why you had some disastrous challenges, Van Bommel was lucky not to be sent off in the 1st half and I feel the games' tackles were so bad the referee was completely justified for the majority of his decisions.
For me, any game with Spain in is boring because they have no speed in countering in their game, its almost as if their scared to commit players in the box and go in "perfect goal" syndrome, looking for that killer pass with the ball 30 yards from goal.
The diving was annoying, but what irked me more was the choice in the English speaking play by play man. He was boring...the Latinos were a hundred times better, if you know your Spanish of course.

Yeah, and when the ref gave a red card to the guy at the end when Iniesta TOTALLY flopped I was so annoyed! Oh well, at least I won't be tempted to watch soccer for another 4 years.

It wasnt a very good banner for the game. Try watching the Barclays premier league, now thats soccer..
Netherlands rough housed and deserved their red cards. They easily could have a red card in the first half for the kung fu kick but the ref held his restraint. The better team won, and I was ecstatic being a Spain supporter.
