No, the playoff arenas are set on what teamdoes better in the regular season, the reward is to have an advantage at home in the playoffs

In the Superbowl neither team is supposed to have the advantage

Jaysonguy

theyd still get their reward by getting an easier matchup tho...

What easier matchup?

Each conference winner plays the champion of the other conference

the seedings...

That's an impossible goal. If wind and precipitation provide an advantage, then the lack of either must provide an advantage as well.

Example... Pass-heavy teams thrive best in a dome environment, yes? If so, then the "neutral" site of a domed Super Bowl provides an advantage to the team that leans most heavily upon their passing game.

Thats what I said, bad weather would favor the running team more, which is fair since most SB's favor th passing team. It's never fair, it's Football, weather is a part of it.

[QUOTE="MoonMarvel"]Boo hoo. Its like 7 miles west of NY City,a number of teams play in a suburb of the city they are named after. Its all about land, it makes sense. Its no big deal. You act like you have to take a charter flight to the place.

It is a big deal. Like they say, NY technically has one football team and that is the Bills and it kinda does feel that way :?. They could of built the stadium on the west side, but it was rejected. They could of also built it in Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, or even Staten Island  I feel it was odd for them yet again to build a stadium out of state and still call the team NY :? This has not only gotten to me but other newyorkers as well so the only thing left that I can do is complain which I have been doing since  . And yes, it is one state away, you are right about that but the commute is expensive. But like I said, im glad at least the Nets are coming into the City. Its more convenient. But nonetheless, I am happy to finally have a Superbowl that is reachable. Now, how am I going to get those tickets  ?

Its not a big deal, east rutherford is pretty much in the shadow of NY and not far away. Have you ever thought that maybe the stadium was too big and there wasnt enough land to build it there, did you ever find out why it was rejected?

yeah. I believe it was because it would of caused too much traffic. If not the city, im sure upstate has plenty of space. But im over the whole thing anyway.

Yup I would hate it if the Chargers end up playing the Packers in SB XXXXVIII.

Really who wants to see a game in the snow or bad weather during the superbowl? I totally disagree. Bad weather during the season and postseason fine because there is no control over that. Not during a superbowl.

But your fine when it's a big advantage to the passing/warm weather/dome team?

Cold weather team can also pass without worrying about weather in a dome, i guess what we're saying is it's more of an advantage for a cold team to play in the cold than it is for a dome/warm team to play in warm/domed SB.

I am sure it does, but the stadium needs to be close to NY City.

there going to have like 2 weeks to practice and get well adjusted to the weather anyways. a lot of you are making it sound as if a warm weather teams has never played in cold weather and it will be this huge disadvantage. unless its raining or high winds, the cold really wouldnt effect theses guys as much as you think. its the super bowl, the second you hit somebody you wont even think about how cold you are...unless its below 0 and the odds of that are pretty slim
