Online alot of people would abuse slant routes to the flats with the running back. It was especially annoying with Peterson and Chris Johnson because of their speed. You could throw Westbrook into that category too.

No they didn't get rid of them all together. It's just that the running backs run a lot slower when they're running that slant route. As for the nano blitz, not everyone uses it. But there are some people who will run it all game and be pretty successful with it.

How does it blow? They moved the quarters to 7 minutes(which was really needed) and they fixed those stupid abused running back routes.
He's probably just mad because he was using those running back routes! :P
7 minutes is just way too long for my taste, that's all. I can't tell you how many times I was barely able to finish a game with 5 minute quarters. And btw there was nothing wrong with the RB routes at all. There are TONS of plays and audibles to counter any route, especially if it's used a lot by one person in the same manner. Now if you put your RB on a quick slant he's taking a brisk walk on a nice summer's day. Great. I'm not trying to complain, but if you look at how slow the RB is on that route now it's laughable.

I totally agree with you on how they changed the speed of the RB's. It's completely stupid! I was wondering why they were running so slow when I changed them to that route. It's too slow and it's very dumb. They should have just made your defenders play that a little better. Why would your RB walk the pattern until he breaks to the left or right? He wouldn't! Just make the D better.
I agree, it is a bit lengthy and they could've done without adding the two minutes, but the route fix was completely necessary! I suppose the update was alright :/
