We all say that a win is a win, and it is. Well, cheating is cheating. No matter how you spin it.

"Bah! Shut up about this ! It's not like spying helped them any!" Some fans mights say this. Well, consider this:

In school, what happens if you attempt to cheat and get caught? You get in trouble, and the ATTEMPT to cheat is wrong. Whether "Spy Gate" actually helped the Patriots in some games or not, just the idea that they clearly broke the rules is BAD, too!

You know, if my Dallas Cowboys cheated, I'd honestly be very disappointed. I guess that the Patriots fans are okay with it, though. Spin because you all are loyal fans! "It's us against the haters! Argh!!!!!111!!!!11!!!1"

This will not go away, fans. Just like the steroids problem for Barry Bonds won't go away. At least, the 2007 season for the Patriots will be remembered by many as being tainted, and rightfully so.

I'm not a hater. I don't like to dislike teams just because they are top dogs. I wish that they didn't have an arrogant coach and some arrogant players, and I wish that they never cheated. If someone is going to be so good like the Patriots have been this year, I want them to at least have some class.

Bring on the Patriots fanboys!

Was this thread really necisarry? There is probably 500 of these things. It's called a search engine. Find an old one and just post your hate-mail in there.

Besides that, everyone who counts knows that the season is untainted due to the Jet's turning in Pats before the first half of the first game. The only people who care are uninformed fans of teams that have been blown out.

So what happens when someone on like Shawn Merriman is suspended for taking steroids? Should their season have been 'tainted'? People cheat all the time, and it is no different with the patriots. Did they steal signs? Yes they did, and they were penalized by losing the inevitable 32nd pick in the NFL draft. Just because the Patriots took a crap on the Cowboys, and every other team they played against, doesn;t mean their season should be 'tainted'.

Ask yourself, was thisw really necessary to post? Definitely not. You're even worse than Pats fans, you just can not let go the fact that they cheated.

Very well said..

Where are the power hungry mods that suspend accounts for threads similar to this?

It's a growing trend it seems. For every single thing the Pats do, a negative thread is created each week. If the Pats win big, they ran up the score, the organization is arrogant and a thread appears on here. If they won a tight game, they were lucky, the referees helped them win, and yet another thread appears. The bottom line is that the 12 games that were played, the opponents were either outplayed, outmatched, or self-destructed. Stop wasting space with negative threads about the Pats if you have nothing else to say. Sure cheating is wrong, and I was disappointed but they got caught and they paid for it. This was reported after the very first game of the season so how is this tainted? So everyone is a saint now? To the TC, so was Michael Irvin a saint? He was a great NFL receiver for your Cowboys but he had his issues as well. No one is talking about that are they? No I think not. Get over it already!

bravo!

/end sarcasm

let me introduce you to a thing called a blog, it's kind of like a diary except it's hidden away in your account where no one can read it cept those who choose to. in a blog you can state every opinion and rant to your hearts content

this message board is meant for discussions, not for rants of a mouthy rabid cowboys fan.

that being said, i don't like the pats either. but if i had something productive to discuss about them instead of stating how i feel about them as an orginization, i'll start a new thread.

Actually, the only people who don't care are biased NE fans. The rest of us consider the Patriots cheaters, and rightfully so.

As a Chargers' fan, I can admit that Merriman's season was tainted. He got caught for using a banned substance, and he paid the price. The difference is that Merriman is an individual, while the entire Patriots' organization is tainted.

You are just as biased as us NE fans. He is no different to the Pats as a whole. Both incidents were wrong. So Merriman is a cheater.

A lot of you like to complain that the San Antonio Spurs are boring (and being boring doesn't break the rules). However, we can't complain that the Patriots cheated? Hypocracy.

If they were caught say week 8 this argument would hold some weight this year. I think that it seems they get every call every time is more of an issue, going back to arguably the worse call in NFL history..."The Tuck".

Yo, you are complaining about an incident that happened nearly three months ago. You don't see anyone crying about the Spurs being boring months after they won the championship. Quit crying!
