Wrong... the better team did win. The Patriots weren't even playing there best football and despite some of those B.S. calls we still won the game.
And to Miami fans... enjoy your number one pick maybe you can get another kick returner!

Ted Ginn is going to become a great WR and I believe we have our QB with John Beck and Ronnie Brown is one of the, if not best all around RB in the NFL, but of course we lost him to an ACL tear.
I have no respect at all for the Patriots organization. They may be the best team in the NFL, buy they're also the most hated. They have no class or character. Dutch_Mix
The best team is usually the most hated... Its more difficult for me to see that "hate" here in New England, where its love, love, love about the Pats day in and day out.
great game
too bad my colts lost
no denying the pats greatness
hopefully we get to play them again in the playoffs
and have harrison and ugoh healthy
not making excuses for this game the better team won
20-10 with 9min to gowas a great comeback
so no excuses, but i think we can beat them
i dont think anyone else can tho

Not necessarily.
This is about class. Plain and simple. The Patriots have none and that's why everyone is against them. No one likes to see the score ran up, and no one likes to see a team cheating.

The problem that the Colts will face is that the Playoff game would likely be in New England.

*sigh* will people ever stop with the cheating thing? Every team bends the rules in some way or another. The Pats just got caught.
The running up the score is a more legitimate argument. I understand why that could cause dissent among the NFL, but it could be a strategy. And besides, Belicheck doesn't care about popular opinion. I just hope it doesn't come back to bite the Patriots this year or later down the road.

No, not every team bends the rules. Don't make accusations you can't back up.
A strategy? Please explain how kicking a team while they're down is a strategy.

The Colts have never bent the rules before? C'mon now.
And on the strategy, this is what I have heard, not that I necesarrily believe it. Its really a mental thing. If New Englan appears to be this unstoppable monster week in and week out, hw is a team like the Dolphins supposed to feel entering that game? They will go in sag "Yeah, let's upset them at home...." but deep down, the players know they don't stand a chance. That slight tinge of doubt may give the Pats that extra advantage, that IMO they have proven they don't need.
In a way, this "stategy" was cemented tonight, going into the home field of the undefeated, defending Super Bowl Champs and winning. How is a tam supposed to feel going into a game against this team?
Well that's what I've heard, but really, I think its more that Belicheck is one pissed off man. One very pissed off man. Blowing off Dungy was a bad decision on his part tonight.
Uh people - running up the score is required by NFL rules.
And why did no one complain about the Lions running up the score on Denver? Oh wait I forgot after the Lions were up 30-0 they should have kneeled EVERY possession to let Denver back into the game... The Lions are totally classless.

And running up the score is required for TIE BREAKERS...
I'm sticking this. Why am I sticking this? Because I don't want ten thousand threads about this whenever the Hell it is.
Now behave yourselves or I'll do mod stuff to you.

My first sticky. How special am I?
Anyway, good game, but I'm disappointed Indy gave it away after dominating for 3.5 quarters. Can't wait to see these teams again in the AFC Championship.
Indy had it, but those two long throws to Moss & Stallworth really gave some momentum to the Pats that they desperately needed.
Gotta give it to the Pats, on the road, tons of penalties, turnovers, & they STILL win.
Great game, can't wait to see the (Likely) playoff rematch.
LOL, look what happens when NE is actually playing against a good D... THEY GET OWNED. Addai is making their D look like a bunch of scrubs, and Brady is out there crying about the calls. Guess he's not used to getting a fair game.zarfbloot
Seriously, can you not just show one side of the issue? Pats were playing away at one hostile stadium, two turnovers, over 140 yards of penalty, and the refs against them, and Colts leading three quaters and STILL won. That's not good enough for you?
[QUOTE="Miami84Chambers"]Well the better team lost.Ngamer05
Agreed
Again, how do you know this? Patriots played away in a hostile stadium and along with some questionable pass inteference calls managed 146 yards of penalty and even got over two costly turnovers and STILL won. Colts on the other hand played admirably without Harriosn. So, I ask you again. How do you know?
All I know is that the thing that angers me off the most about all these Patriot "fans" in real life and on the internet is that they are all mostly bandwagon fair-weather fans, and when the Patriots become a horrible team they will all find a a new team to root for. I know all teams have bandwagon fans but with the Patriots its ridiculous.Miami84Chambers
You know this because you met every single Patriots fan in the world, right?

Well, other teamsneed to play better defense if they don't wont the score to run up. Until then, I hope the patriots keep running the score up to make people like you mad.

Not only that - but the refs cheated for the Colts many times. For example, at the end of the game when Brady was kneeling, the ref not only whistled late he refused to give a penalty to the Colts defense for shouting out snap counts. This was just one of the many bias calls against the Patriots.
Not to mention Belichick's headset didn't work for most if not all of the game.
Sorry but compensating by not having Harrison by cheating is still wrong. The Colts had the refs on their side, pumped out fake crowd noise, the Colts cheated period, and had a 10 point lead in themiddle of the4th quarter and STILL lost. And these are the previous Super Bowl champions?

There are bad calls, then there are cheating calls. The refs for example did not give the Colts a penalty for doing a snap count - not only that but they blew the whistle way after Brady kneeled, this caused the Patriots center to get whacked hard. This is a cheating call. Don't even get me started on many of the "pass interference" calls. A few of those were bad calls - but the one when the defender GRABBED Moss and Moss was called for it? Psh. That's a cheating call.

You make it sound like all the refs got together before the game and said "Hey, lets get these Patriots. Like if they kneel the ball lets not blow the whistle. Lets not flag the Colts for yelling the snap count. Yeah, that'll show 'em who's boss."
Please, it just sounds so ridiculous.

What sounds more ridiculous:
- A game were not only that was a bad call, but many other bad/cheating calls including Light's phantom "personal foul" and Moss' mysterious pass interference. Not to mention the fake crowd noise (which was not due to CBS btw), Belichick's headset not being fixed and more.
or
- The refs were in the back playing Halo 3 so they weren't able to hear the snap counts and by the time they were done with Team Slayer on Snowbound it was too late to whistle right after Brady's kneel.

I am a Patriots fan. Thought I'd let you know.
The penalty on Matt Light was legit. He did whip his leg out to stop the guy from getting by him. (Is this the one you mean...? There were a few.)
Moss's Pass Interference was iffy, but to accuse "cheating" goes too far.
How do you know the skip was not due to CBS?
Never heard of problems with Belicheck's head set.

1. Okay well they didn't show the penalty on TV so I wasn't sure or not. I admit my mistake.
2. There were too many calls like that interference to be merely just a coincidence or "bad officiating."
3. It happened on other tapes as well (WBCN), why did the commentators come through loud and clear yet the crowd has the reverb sound, or how come CBS didn't explain the technical difficulties after it happened and even now or etc. etc.
4. Well he couldn't communicate with Brady via headset, so he had to use signals. This wasn't a problem but it was never fixed for some strange reason...

Watch the game, that's proof enough.
You're making all fans look bad. I saw the game, the highlights and every video on it. There was one bad PI call, (the moss one was legit), which happens in almost all games. The skip can be for a thousand reasons.
Wait, why am I saying this? You can't prove anything. All you have is your interpretations of what happened, when they can easily be interpreted someway else and be a normal game. No proof = doesn't matter.

Yeah. I think it's pretty much ludicrous to point the blame for Patriots playing badly to the refs. They were, I thouht, two bad calls and the hostile crowd environment and Colts' D playing more physically than I ever seen were the causes of the rest of the fouls.

1. Ok, whatever that was I guess we can forget about it.
2. That's a stretch of epic proportions...
3. WBCN probably receives its audio feed from CBS. The commentators came in fine because they are on a separate feed or something; to be honest, this is an area I know very little about.
4. He couldn't communicate with Brady because the crowd was too loud and Brady couldn't hear the coaches in the radio inside his helmet, so he had to run to the side to get playcalls.

One of those bad PI's you're talking about was explained by Mike Peirera as a good call. It was a cutoff. Mike peirera is the head of NFL refs.
