Coach Coughlin is very hard-nosed, and I didn't get a lot of time off, couldn't sit down and rest myself, and so it was a constant grind -- a physical grind on me that started to take its toll," Barber told reporters Tuesday after his introduction as the newest correspondent of the "Today Show."

"The grind took its toll on me and really forced me to start thinking about what I wanted to do next. And that's not a bad thing. That's a good thing, for me at least. Maybe not for the Giants, because they lose one of their great players, but for me, it is," Barber said.

Yeah, he is a sissy for saying something after the fact. Grow some cahones and say it while you are playing if it is that much of an issue. Dude just likes to have attention... He better not make the Hall...

I've never been fond of Tiki and to think he would continue this is pointless especially since he is talking about the same coach WHO fixed his fumbling issues he had a few years ago. Not to mention the fact that his best seasons came under coach Coughlin.

I exact your sentiments completely. How gaudy and egotistical to say you are a "Great Player". All this from a retired almost "never was" (his career only bloomed like 2 seasons ago, he's been in the league since '97) who was complaining about strenuous work ethic... and talk smack and complain about the one person who changed your career around. I can't respect this douche bag.

I loved Tiki before this season. He's really looking like an ass right now, and it pains me as a Giants fan. I'm gonna miss his talent, but I won't miss his big mouth.

So whos the next RB , not Jacobs because he is a bruiser and wont last long under a average o-line. I could see Adrian Peterson but he will aready be drafted.

But Barry Sanders is Barry Sanders :P No disrespect to Detroit fans, but c'mon. He had to run around like crazy (which is why he holds the record for most yards lost). Also, I hate Tiki for the way he says "the Giants are losing a great player", okay, you were good -lately-, but in the past all you did was give out presents to the other teams. Good thing he's not doing ESPN...

Tiki was a great player, but now he's getting all cocky about himself. Being a giants fan, this is not good news.

Jeez this rushing game of the Giants is really going to suffer next year unless they revamp that offensive line and get a back to go along with Jacobs.  As for Barber he has the right to say whatever the hell he wants especially as a possible hall of famer and being one of the best backs in the league these past years.

possible hall of famer? No, if he continued to play, yes, of course, but since he's retiring, no. And hes only been good the past maybe 2-3 years.  Like everyone said, he was a medicore back who fumbled alot.  He doesnt have the right to say anything.
