It was a bit over 10 years of the Sens life in the NHL,and they were already talking about moving the team to God knows where. Why,because of some problem with getting easier access to there new arena. And that almost broke the teams budget for years after. If ownership or management did not forsee this problem sometime in there future......ummm...umm...duh...Small market team with small market brains. Also just to mention, does not mean small market team like Calgary,Edmonton,Tampa Bay,etc....should not belong in the NHL,but the Senators is a team that I think does not belong. Also in the Sens first year in the NHL,Ottawa coach came forward and said he was made to lose game on purpose for the team would have first round pick. The Senators have been a headcase since they were in the league.Ottawa Senators have been a soap opera since early 1990's.

As a Sabres fan, I obviousy don't like the Senators. But whatever crap you're spewing there about the team being a soap opera and that being a reason why they shouldn't have a team is stupid. You have a link to the story about the coach coming forward about being told to throw games?

so because of past ownership problems, you don't want the Sens in the league? what about now? Eugene Melnyk has been a great owner. no money troubles. and lots of teams have trouble with arena locations. The city of Ottawa was developed before a franchise was bought in, they can'tjust suddenly remove buildings and build an arena downtown.
That little soap opera comment can apply to ANY CANADIAN TEAM. Vancouver was a goalie graveyard before luongo and still has the bertuzzi incident. Edmonton can't get attract high ranked players, calgary had such bad cap management last year that they couldn't bring up a player to fill in for the injured. Montreal was suppose to have a great centennial season but ended up stumbling over and over again. and Toronto has been a circus since the lock out ended. Sundin, missing the playoffs, half the fans wanted them to tank a season to get a high draft pick, and then signing Brian Burke and the media coverage of his every step.
Media coverage in Toronto is notorious. V__VI hate the bruins and leafs, but im actually starting to have pity for the leafs, it must be hard being so bad year after year after year...and for so many years to come...
TEH_RADIO
Its not like they've had 20 win seasons since the lockout. They've put up two 40 win seasons and the last two seasons with a roster not as talented as some has still been decently competitive even when finishing last in the Northeast. They'll really start to improve this year.

They have built a pretty awesome defense, but their goalers are a huge question mark and their attack is average. They are probably going to have very tight games.
red wings, philly...and I used to hate the sens (even tho I live in Ottawa) but now I just feelbad for them
its more the fans of certain teams that annoy me the most (example red wings fans booing when Pens won the cup on their ice, no class there)
and philly...well everyone knows about flyers fans haha although the flyers this year are a team to watch out for

yes, very true...with that defense, this is Toskala's chance to shine. I wonder if Burke will go after Martin Biron?

Well, the Leafs signed Gustavsson to a one year deal, so they'll be giving him a chance to compete with Toskala in the net. >.>[QUOTE="Los9090"][QUOTE="TEH_RADIO"]

Biron was signed by the islanders.....which is weird and makes me think Rick "15 year contract" Dipietro is injured because they have Dipietro, Roloson, and now Biron...all starting goalies[QUOTE="Los9090"][QUOTE="gameeer1"] Well, the Leafs signed Gustavsson to a one year deal, so they'll be giving him a chance to compete with Toskala in the net. >.>volcomstoner180

Arthur Staple from Long Island's Newsday states that DP should sit the whole year out to heal instead of rushing back.

Poor islanders, they never have anything going for them. Hopefully with tavares they will be able to start building a decent team that will be able to compete in the east.
Red Wings and Sharks
The Sharks is more of a disrespect kind of thing. The have so much talent yet it seems they have no love for the game. They consistently blow it in the playoffs when it matters.
PITTSBURGH...HATE CROSBY loltimexkingthats exactly why last year was so sweet...everybody hated crosby, and then he led the pens to the cup.... it shut the crosby haters up for a bit anyway..... i just got my Lemieux away jersey that I always said I would get if the pens won....Lemieux is the reason the pens are still around, and the reason crosby is the leader he is today....what a guy
