The Yankees and BoSoxs because they just go out and spend their way to championships. My Jays are screwed into trying to compete with a bunch of teams with seemingly bottomless pockets. At least Ted Rogers bought the team and realized that the Jays can't compete on a $40 million sallary. Oh and the Nets, or any other team Vince Carter plays for in the future.

I don't hate other sport teams. What's the point? I love sports. I enjoy all the teams involved. There is no reason to exclude or hate a team for any reason. Either you love sports equally or you really aren't a sports fan, but an elites trying to be a sports fan.PlayedThemAll

Baseball:

Yankees, Angels, Orioles, Braves

 Football:

Eagles, Giants, Steelers, Vikings, Bucs

 College:

UNC, FSU, Florida, OSU

Pretty random, I know.  There are just some teams that rub me the wrong way, no matter who plays for them.

So as a true sports fan, you would of course appreciate something called a "rivalry", right?  If you happen to be a supporter of one of those teams involved in the rivalry, its pretty hard to enjoy the opposing team, especially when the team you follow happens to despise the other team.  Watching teams and fans go at one another with passion and fervor is one of the great things about sports (as long as it doesn't turn out like a soccer riot).  Did you enjoy the 2003-2004 ALCS?  Do you enjoy Duke-UNC basketball games?  How about Eagles-Cowboys?  Why are those games so great?  Rivalries and bad blood stemming from years of history and hatred, that's why.   Take the skirt off and embrace it buddy.

Oh, and I'm curious to why you think people are elitists(is that the word you were looking for?) because they hate another team.  Would you mind posting why you think that?  I find it hard to believe that because I hate the Yankees, I am now a baseball fan that thinks I am better than Yankee fans and everyone else. I have plenty of friends who are Yankee fans (hell, I roomed with one in college), I just don't like the Yanks, plain and simple.
