I am going to go with Calvin Johnson. He had 78 receptions for 1,331 and had 12 touchdowns last season. Imagine what he could do with a good QB. I know the stats aren't as good as other receivers but watching him play i have never seen a receiver adapt to the ball better in the air then him. Hes also got great size, speed, and hands.

Fitz

Regular season he's a beast
Playoffs he's a beast
Superbowl he's a beast

He's money in every single game. He's got everything you want in a WR these days.

Hey I'm the only one who said Smith. Also I really do believe he's the best. If he was like 6 something with the same attributes he has now he'd be damn near unstoppable.

Agreed. Fitz played like Rice during that playoff run, so he deserves all the props he gets. The only other guy I would consider is Andre Johnson since I have seen so little of him. Until I see someone else dominate the playoffs though, I'm sticking with Fitz.

My thoughts exactly. TC wanted the best NFL receivers, so monkeytoes wants us to post other names rather than the ones that deserve the title(s)?

Sorry, kinda forgot that part. Counting out all of the obvious candidate, I will go out on a limb and say Greg Jennings. 1300 yards and 9 touchdows? Yes please.

Fitz by a long shot... any doubters were proved wrong by his performance in the playoffs last season. The Cards wouldn't have gone anywhere without him.

It's hard to argue against Fitzgerald. I considered Jennings in my top five, but I don't think he's better than the others I listed. Braylon Edwards showed the potential to be as good as anyone two years ago, but last year he made it known that he was still just a Cleveland Brown.

If people gave reasons why it would be entertaining

Like I just scratched the surface in my post. Someone could come in and bring in his blocking and someone else could bring in that he has the best body control in the NFL right now and can adapt to any throw 5 feet left or right of his body.

I know. NFC East fans are the worst. I'm not going to sit here and say that the 49'ers suck just because we are in the same division.

Yeah, how many playoff games have you won this decade? It goes both ways. I'm not a Cowboy's fan, nor am I an Eagles fan. NFC East fans argue and argue and argue but never prove their point.

The same amount as the Cowboys have playoff wins in the past thirteen years. Nobody even mentioned Maclin. I don't think Maclin is going to be great this year. I do think DeSean has what it takes to keep having good numbers. You're so insecure about the Cowboys' recent failures that you bring up the Eagles every chance you get. It's a thread about elite receivers and you make up a comment about how Eagles fans are enthralled with Maclin. It's pathetic... Neil O'Donnell handed them the Super Bowl in 1996 and they haven't done anything since then. You're allowed to stop living in the past. It's okay.

Randy Moss at his prime was definitely better than Larry Fitzgerald, but it's a pretty close call now. Andre Johnson's also very good, but he doesn't quite have the red zone creds that either of those two boast.

Steve smith is my fav player 8)

but i would take andre johnson over fitz any day of the week. andre leads the league in receptions, receiving yards, and is 9th in td's.
