Why are most teams in the NBA so bad this year?

I looked at everyone's record yesterday and most teams were struggling to stay above .500 !  What is up with that?

Does anyone have a good idea why this has happened?

I think it's because they're are a few teams that are dominating like the Suns, and Mavs.

Inconsistency and Injuries....Injuries have really hurt alot of teames this year....The mavs, suns,spurs,jazz,lakers,rockets and pistons are really the only teams that are more than five games above .500....the playoffs are going to be great this year if all the teams are healthy

Yeah, my Chicago Bulls are so inconsistent, they win three games in a row and beat the mavs for instance, and then lose three losing to the warriors and bobcats.

Yeah. I think the Bulls have been inconsistent since the new year began. This inconsistency has been reminding me of how Rex Grossman was.

I know, this is so annoying...I can barely watch because I don't know at all what to expect.

Only the EAST is bad, Horrible I might say.. The West is going to totally embarrass the East in the NBA Finals this year I can just feel it..

Yeah the injury's are a big part of the terribleness, also there is 2 very strong draft picks that I think teams are going for.

I think alot of teams are bad because of the coach. Alot of people don't realize that the coach is the one responsible for the plays a team runs. That explains why the KNICKS are so garbage, because Thomas doesn't now what he's doing. Everytime they show a closeup of him in game where the KNICKS are losing, he look's as though he doesn't even want to be in the game.
