Why do people think philly fans are so rough and evil?

i bring this up because of the whole vick thing

yes, i know, we threw snowballs at santa. but we are not as bad as people say

but we care about our teams.

first point, the flyers had the worst record in 06-07 but had the 5th highest attendence

second, we don't just go to games if they are winning team. we go throughout the season(unlike the rays.)

thrid, we want our teams to play as well as they should(so booing and cheering happens a lot)

so, these are just my thoughts, any opinions on this?

he hasn't won a SB(yet) but 5 conference championship app. and 1 sb apperance(so close last year)

That's the thing they don't, they as in most philly fans, don't see that. They see the, "Oh what have you done for me lately?" It is not that Philly are bad fans it is that they are passionate fans and want to win...badly lol. I am starting to wonder maybe Chicago fans are bad. That fan that threw that beer at Shane Victorino in the Cubs game. Idiotic!Mister__Awesome

phillies 08 is a huge reason fans are happier(it was 25 years before)and to the cubs fan. "come on"

Meh, i think it's just another city, like always you have a few bad apples in every city and that's what has spread around as the stereotype. Did you see the Cubs fan dropping the beer on Victorino? theres a difference between booing and chanting "crosby sucks" the entire time he's on the icestarwarsjunky

look up what Hansbrough went through while he was at UNC or look up what JJ Reddick went through while he was at Duke. You think chanting crosby sucks is that bad? There's been a lot that's been said at many other stadiums that are far worse. It's something you can't take personal, they're just trying to get in the minds of the player and team.

I will say, that wearing an opposing team's jersey to Filthadelphia is a mistake. I was 12 when my dad and I went to a Pens - Flyers game, and it was one of the most miserable experiences of my life. Stuff getting thrown at us, beer dumped on us, fans yelling awful, awful stuff, etc. Compare that to last year when I went to a Pens - Sabres game in Buffalo, and all I got was some booing and jeering, nothing out of the ordinary. Stay classy, Philly.

Sorry but throwing things at them is lame, people threw stuff at a Giants fan here and i thought it was stupid, he was a good sport and was there with a Dodger fan.
