I see where you are coming from, but some people like me just like a certain player for that one team and feel kinda bad if that team loses, but not at the expense of their favorite team. For example; I like L.T. but if they lose to the 49ers(My favorite team), then to bad for him. jerrell0715
Yeah, that's like me. I am a Jazz fan but I have liked Dirk since he came into the league so the Mavs are my second favorite team. I do prefer the Jazz to win but realistically the Mavs have the better chance of winning it all. Next year for sure though the Jazz should be solid! They just need to dump a couple of guys and pick up a solid shooter.
But yeah, I have my fave teams in each sport (Niners, SF Giants, Jazz, Stars) but there are other teams I like but just not as much.
Yeah im a huge Avs fan, but im also a Penguins fan because there just really exciting to watch with Crosby, Malkin, Stall, Fleury, Malone and etc. Plus since im a huge fan of hockey, i need some one to root for now that the Avs missed the playoffs.hockey73I agree with that and what Romo said about moving because I am originally from Michigan, but I live in NY. But I would NEVER root for the Avs being from Michigan and being a Red Wings fan. That would be like me rooting for the Red Sox, since I have always been a fan of the Tigers, but I root for the Yankees since I live in NY now. But I just hate people (especially a lot of the girls I know) who claim to like sports but root for multiple teams in one sport who are absolute rivals of each other or in the same state. That pisses me off and I cannot stand that. I mean, I am a Michigan Wolverine, Tigers, Pistons, Lions and Red Wings fan first and foremost, but I hear about people who like the Yankee and Mets, Yankees and Red Sox (the worst people of all) Giants and Eagles or the Giants and Jets. That is what really annoys me.
Who cares! Is there a rule in place that says one can't like more than one team? Does that make them less of a sports fan than the die hard fan that sticks to his one and only team? No. As far as teams that lose critical games, hey it happens. Move on. mrvic87
Your wrong. It does make them less of a sports fan because half of being a sports fan is heartbreak when your team loses. If you don't support your team when they lose your not a true fan.

Some people just appreciate the thrill of competition, well-executed strategy, and acrobatic athletics. I may not love the Maple Leafs with an unhealthy passion like most Leafs' fans, but that doesn't make me less of a SPORTS fan, it makes me less of a LEAFS fan. See the difference?I love sports. I may not be passionate about home teams but it doesn't make me less of a fan. If a team I really like loses, it's tough and even tragic, but I move on and hope for the best next season. The players eventually move on so their fans should too. Originally from NY, people thought that I was a Yankees fan. I never liked the Yankees, even when they were dominant in the 90's. I got a little bored seeing them win. I like the Mets though.  They fell short the past couple of years and I was frustrated but moved on. New year, new players, new opportunities.  I love sports, I have sports merchandise of most teams. That is enough support to be a true fan like the fan that sticks by his home team. Â
