All SE Games Discussion Thread!

Ive been reading some stuff on FFTA2 today and Im curious if anyone else noticed Vaan's slightly new look for the game? I think he looks really good. It looks like Balthier has given him some fashion ideas :D Vaan finally found a shirt lol. Also I love the Revenant Wings charm they added to his belt. Heres where you can see the pic.

I know that I own more SE games then any other developers. 1/2 of my GBA and DS games are from Square.

One of these days I'm going to sit down and figure out how much I have spent.... well....maybe I don't want to know! :P

I've got all the FF DS and GBA games, Mana games, DQ games and several other SE. The others are like Castlevania, Lumunous Arc and a couple other RPGS.

I dont think this is old news I hope, but a NA release date for FFTA2 has been announced: June 24, 2008.

Very, very close to my birthday :D Now if only they would announce a release for FFIV as well!

Um, maybe it's just me but did anyone else find Revenant Wings more difficult than they expected it to be? Maybe it's just the battle style I'm not used to...but I am quite enjoying it nonetheless! :)SymonDezyn

I love Revenant Wings, my favorite DS game so far. I think they did a great job trying to ease you into the gameplay style then they progressively increased the difficulty of the missions. I found the last couple of chapters and side missions to be really hard, yet extremely fun to play.

:lol: I completely disagree. There is no way that is the only thing that was done the whole game. It requires strategy on team structure and attack plans. The espers will rip your team apart if you attack with the wrong group.

Now if you were to say it was less complicated then other RTS games? Yes I could agree with that. There was no resource gathering, building, ect that you will find in PC RTS games. But that was never the fun part of an RTS game anyways. They stripped the boring stuff and created a fun, challenging game with a good story and characters. The missions were great too because it never felt like I was grinding, each mission was different and felt it helped the story. Well Penelo's missions were weird but heck the groups got to eat, right?

I finally beat FFXII:RW today ^__^ The last battle took me the best part of an hour because of me playing it very safe >_> May I ask what the extra scene was for getting 100%?Lady_Bahamut

I didn't play VI on the PS1 but I liked IV better on the GBA than the PS1...

Personally, I prefer GBA's version better not only about graphics, but the game as a whole. The PS1 version is just a pain to play, with those long loading times. I know it is vain, but I also like those portraits on the message boxes... XD

It is a newer version, with a newer translation, great graphics, good loading time for the GBA, is obviously portable so you can play anywhere.... the only thing that isn't as good is the sound, because the GBA has less channels than the PS1. But it is still audible and such. Anyway, just get this game! It is the best FF ever made!!! *fangirl mode out* XD

okay, you've convinced me :D. i'll get it for the GBA (i'll actually be playing it on the DS). i've actually wanted this game for a while, and judging by what everyone thinks about it, i can't wait to play it :D. thanks for your opinion :).

yeah, but she then got me a GBA game for it. And yesterday she wouldnt let me go on the ps2, even thoguht all shed done all day was watch telly because she was ill. I just dont seem to be allowed to do anything fun. GS is ok, but not on my top fun things to do.
