Explain why or why not?

I don't import FF games because I don't understand outside languages and i'm very comfortable with my own lanague. I rather wait until it comes out in my country then import it because I want be able to enjoy the game fully like I want to.

Yeah, I just wait til the game comes out here, then i get it, just sucks having to wait for a few months after Japan gets the games though.

Agreed. I'd rather be able to understand what's going on, and I have too many other things to learn to try to learn another language.

I was, but then I realized it would be better just to hold up and pass the time with Kingdom Hearts II and some other games than not be able to understand it and just play for the battle system. I was really close but the breaking point for me was when I saw that you had to modify your PS2 for it to be able to play imported games without having to "swipe" it multiple times, and there's no way in hell I'm doing that.

So, as my final answer, no, and probably never.

No, I haven't yet, and I probably never will. First, I don't know Japanese, except for a few words. And so much of FF games are tied to reading text and getting a lot of the story and battle system through it. I don't think I'd enjoy it half as much if I couldn't read and know what I was doing and what was going on.

Plus, sometimes the American version is a little better than the original release. Sometimes the development team has had some time to fix a few bug, or in the case of some games (like FFVII), extra features are added (like the extra weapons).

So, despite having to wait longer, I feel it's generally worth it.

I will probably never import a game from abroad since firstly, I will never be able to enjoy a game to the fullest if it is not in my own language. But also I feel that the wait and the build up until a game gets released actually adds to the whole experience of the game. It's great to be counting down the days until it gets released and on the day that it does, having a great feeling when I head down to the shop.

The only way I'll import a game is if it the game is fun and it isn't avaible for my country. Example, Kingdom Hearts Finl Mix. I want that game so bad because the U.S doesn't have it and I would import it if I had the chance.

I also prefer to wait until the correct region comes out for the consol, i dont have a chiped PS2 or consol, so i normaly prefer to wait for the english version is brough out to the shops.

Then buy them new and not second hand, i like the CD to be clean with no scratches. Hate CD that are badly sctrached up.

I would probably never import Final Fantasy games. Why? I like my games to be English I guess. I want to be able to understand the story. The only time I would do it, is if English subtitles are included are the game I like can only be imported and isn't coming to NA.

Yeah, that and maybe those adult games, but that is if you are into those games, which I am not, so don't be giving me dirty looks.  :D

Yup, and when we get the better quality games with less bugs and stuff, it makes it better to wait.
