350 pounds. yeah thats the same as $700johngebreadman
O_O damn...
Well I guess you can try to do extra chores are something.
Geez, I failed my road test today to get my liscense. I ran over a cone by accident.
Lionheart08
that reminds me of The Wedding Singer.... "they were cones....." hehe :)
don't feel too bad; when i first started driving, i couldn't parallel park to save my life :) You can always re-take your test, and by then you'll be a pro!
Yikes, that's what it was here when it first came out. Now the 80GB is down to $499 CND. And yet I still haven't got one... *curses*SymonDezyn
Thats about how much it is here too (USA) and I still dont plan on getting one (I'm holding out to see if my bf will get one...that way I can play his..*evil laugh*)
I'm scheduled to retake it next week. In the end I guess karma came back on me, I really wanted to ace it today just to rub it in my older sisters face (she doesn't have a liscense yet). I'll ace it next time though. :PLionheart08
btw that is the 40gb version, the only version we have that has no backwards compatability with anything. that means i need a new ps2 as well, as mine just broke.350 pounds thats with one game, but it still sucks.

It's the same everywhere now; unfortunately they disc'd the 60GB version, so now you gotta fork out for the 80GB if you want the compatability. But u can probably get a PS2 cheap on EBay; i saw one that went for like $20 the other day, and it came with everything.

you can't even get an 80GB one here anymore :(, i thought that was the case everywhere :?

You should look into getting a refurbished one from Gamestop. Doing that and trading in your PS2/Controllers, you won't have to pay as much.
whats gamestop? (british)johngebreadman
Its pretty easy to work out >_> It's a game shop, like GAME or Gamestation.
whats gamestop? (british)johngebreadman
My mistake, I figured it was a worldwide store. Gamestop is a video game store where you can trade old games and consoles to get store credit. It also carries one of the most diverse collection of games (of course now they only carry games from the post-ps2 era).
I find shopping at gamestop to be the easiest way to buy a PS3 if you don't want to buy PS3 full price.

Your lucky. I have to go to a flea market if I want to get some oldschool games.

going to gamestop is a waste of money brand new rondo of swords 30$ used one with no booklet 25$ yeah that makes sense! that's why i only get used from gamstop if there's a REALLY old game then it's uselly worth it. so i just go to walmart, best buy or ebay
I can proffesionally drift, can anyone else on Gamespot or in this union?SPD_WeBmAsTaH
that'd be cool, i wish i could :)
I can drift everywhere except on a real road, including race tracks.
Simply put, i do virtual drifiting.
Not simple enough?
*ahem*
I... Can't.... Drift....
I think it's dangerous

Hmmm...i seem to remember something... didn't you have a good friend who moved there?
Ah, I see :) How come Florida? (besides the nice weather? :))SymonDezyn
The weather sucks in Florida. I live in Daytona, and during the summer time, the heat is just plain miserable. Infact, we're going through somewhat of a drought.
I totally wish i could move to FL, I would rather deal with droughts than snow storms. I hate snow...give me 80+ weather all year around and I'm a happy girl.
How on earth did i manage to post 9000 posts? It seems kinda amazing... :shock:kinetic-core
I have 10,000+ posts... and I wonder how I managed to make that manyp osts in a span of 3 years here at Gamespot.
still... me, 2 years, 9000+, my average per yr is at least a 1000 higher than you Ant. I must have spammed  hahaha~.kinetic-core
Haha. Maybe. :P
The weather here in Alabama is great if you don't mind the heat. But, as my Grandpa said "It's not the heat, it's the humidity."lo_Reaper_ol
He's right, the humidity can be killer. The air feels so hot...ugh. That was what it was like the other day here though. It was 90 something and 80% humidity..then it started thunderstorming again.
we go from 80 degrees to torrential rain to snow sometimes in ukMore thunderstorms....yay. >____>
All we've gotten here for the past week or so has been severe thunderstorms...not fun.
kryu88
Well it's very cold here in Melbourne :( I hate waking up early for work when i need to go to work :P It's so cold and foggy outside i gotta wear four layers of clothes! Too bad it's not snowing here, I never been in the snow before!
I'd just rather stay in bed all nice and cosy :P
