Hardest Square Enix RPGs....

Hmm.... I think "7th Saga" in the SNES will grap the title. I don't know why Square made it that way... You've got to do a lot.... or should I say A LOT of leveling up just to pass every new area in the game.

The second one is "Saga Frontier 2". The last tactical battle and the last boss (Egg), is almost impossible.

So, what other RPGs you think were quite hard under the Square Enix flagship?

I have two words for you guys:

Unlimitted Saga

Parasite Eve 2 was rather tough for me, probably because I don't play many games like it.  Of the Final Fantasies I have played (I, IV-X), I had the hardest time getting the hang of VIII because of the ridiculously complicated Junctioning system.lordgodalming

If only I could include Valkyrie Profile 2 on the list here... unfortunately, it's not a Squeenix game but a Tri - Ace game insteadZhenDash

lol I think that's one of the reasons that I love the PE series (So happy people remember it). It offers a good challenge (although I did want to throw the controller sometimes) Amnesiac23

The only Square game I thought was hard was FFVIII but that changed once I got used the really annoying Juntion system and I still hate the Spell-Draw system.

not that I didnt like the game it was that I didnt like that I could run out of spells through a boss battle and that the GFs you had to draw them and how are you supposed to know you need to draw them

I only say this one game because of a certain someone who you face 4 times....*He looks like Jude Law* :P

I think Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria can be pretty difficult at times (mostly just because the enemies get tough at regular intervals). crushgoil

I think that most of the earlier Square and Enix games were harder. The hardest one I thought was Dragon Warrior 1 on the Enix side, and Final Fantasy Legend for the Square side.ZeroWingCATS

thats interesting seeing as FFVII is one of the easiest FF so was X but i probly died more in X

The 7th Saga for the SNES is so hard. You have to (and you must!) take time it levelling up to be able to go on through the game.Fantasy_Zone
