Kingdom Hearts 3 Thread - Main Storyline

I thought we could start a discussion about what the main storyline for KH3 looks to be.

Unfortunetely, I'm so more inclined in playing turn-based rpgs and Srpgs, that I try but can't get myself to play KH because of the action. I get frustrated really quick with games, and I'm not good with action/adventure games....

I too can't get myself to play this game, but for different reasons i think.

As do I. I just didn't like the idea of mixing disney characters with Final Fantasy characters. I want to try and give it another shot though.

Hahahahaha! I know your weakness now! I've played Kingdom Hearts, I was okay, II was very good, CoM was way to bogged down with fighting and random battles. No you're not the only Kingdom Hearts lover in this Union, and I'd LOVE to explore this topic with you. I've just been avoiding it because I was afraid I'd get side tracked from my game, I could have so much fun in this topic. Hahahaha! I'm trying to beat Final Fantasy IX so I can play my brand new game.

It is true at times Disney characters steal the spotlight away from the ORIGINAL story. (It's very original.) Sometimes though it does have too much heart, much like Naruto. "I'll never leave you, you're my friend! Love conquers all! Eternal peace!" really gets on my nerves some times. If it comes in small doses I'm usually fine with it but at times they flood you with goody-goodyness and cheery optimism. (I am a pessimist)

heh, nah. I played the first one and I liked it for the most part. I plan on picking up the second one eventually. I can't say I love the series, but, everynow and then it's nice to have somethin'nottoo seriousand fun. I'd probably like it more if the Square characters could join my party, or, if they bring in "A Goofy Movie" or "Gargoyles" (a long shot, but, whatever, childhood memories are keepin' the hope alive).

FF IX is my favourite and compared to other ff in the serie is not that hard, although i've never manage to beat the game in 12 or less hours(in order to get the Excalibur 2).

No, you're not. I love KH. I bought KH : CoM last week but I'm stuck at the last room of Castle Oblivion I must have a blue card with a value equal to 1 to open it :( KH reminds my childhood when I was watching Pooh eating honey every week end.

But about the storyline of KH3, I don't have a clue but the secret ending was awesome.

Hahahaha, I absolutely HATED the last part of Castle Oblivion where you needed like 99 red cards, and like a 0 and a 1. I was like, OH COME ON!!! Nothing like dragging it out eh?

Hahaha, I doubt they'd every add A Goofy Movie parts. Really how could they incorporate it without devaluing Goofys character, without seriously turning him into aneglegent parent? I'd love to see Gargoyles, that could go very good, however it can go very bad too. I'd love to see one of the Gargoyle levels! Hahahaha!

I wouldn't mind playing as some one else other than Sora.I get sick of his whining about, wheres my buddy Riku? I'd love to explore the depths of character of some one else. Sora seems to be getting a little stale. If he seriously doesn't mature a bit I might rip my hair out. The last game had some nice dark overtones, however the story was still a little TOO light hearted at moments. I don't mind if they have mushy moments, but too many makes you feel like you're the only one without a heart. My hopes for the term chaser are that they are chasing what they've lost. I'd prefer them to be the three new characters showed in the ending. Did anyone else notice while you're solving the puzzle in the mansion from Twilight Town as Roxas there is a book he picks up? Anyone REALLY pay attention to it? I think Tetsuya left a secret message in it. When he picks up the book the book is covered in three symbols, the heartless sign, the nobody sign, and one sign that got scratched out. I think Nomura is trying to say that there is one more type of creature created under special circumstances. I'll bet they'll be the new type of nobody for the next game. I think the chaser should be those third special kind of creatures who try to track down thier other pieces (Nobody/Heartless) to either refuse, or to destroy. Or perhaps they simply try to rejoin Heart/Nobody. Another thing people seem to blow off which astounds me. Why is Sora able to randomly transform into a Heartless? I think they'll make that a major part of the story in the next game as well. Maybe he'll become the thing which he hunts so vehemently.

I didn't notice that book. Well, I don't remember Roxas picking a book maybe I should redo that part.

I loved Roxas, it would be great to play him in the next KH but is Nomura going to do another KH like CoM ? Well, what I mean is : The next KH won't be KH3 but another KH like CoM was between KH1 and KH2.

It would have to take place between CoM and KH2, or else they'd have to bring Roxas out of Sora somehow, and I don't want him to come back. I really want some ORIGINAL idea's not more rehashing. Anyone agree with me on this? I wouldn't mind a filler game if it's about Roxas, however it NEEDS to take place between CoM/KH2, because I don't want a side story to be created just for him.

If it can only be opened when lots of hearts collect, that would mean he'd have to be at the end of his world to really get inside. What would he be doing there really, he can't find billions of heartless for eternity. That is the point I am trying to get across. I think Kingdom Hearts is more than just a dimension created by lots of hearts that is filled with power. I think it is a sacred lost kingdom, one with can only be accessed in times of great catastrophe. I think there is something hidden within Kingdom Hearts, and that somehow that is going to play a big factor in the next game. I am willing to bet that is where Xehanort/Xemnas is from. Think about this: Xehanort was working to open Kingdom Hearts, why? To be filled with eternal darkness, which means there is a power source inside. Xemnas was working to open Kingdom Hearts, to recover what was lost to him, his heart. Notice how both are trying to get into Kingdom Hearts, I think this is a unconscious behavior. I believe it is because Kingdom Hearts is some kind of place, more than a power source, and that somewhere in there is a regulator for the people who've lost thier hearts, or selves. They say Nobody's have no heart, or emotions. However I believe that is quite wrong, only an illusion created by the fact they lack what is needed to have emotions. Out of that paradox they do however create emotions, but deny that fact because it would make them feel whole. I don't think they wanted to feel whole, I think they have an unconscious will to rejoin into their counterparts. Notice how each time we go to Kingdom Hearts, you don't see anything really. The first time we get to peek into it, there is nothing but heartless and Mickey/Riku. I believe they were at the edge of the real Kingdom Hearts, and if I remember they quickly got separated through the Corridor of Darkness. (Voids of darkness which allow you to travel through space. Not to be confused with outer space.) I think thtrough the Corridors of Darkness, they are really traveling through Kingdom Hearts it's self.

Why wouldn't anyone want to get thier hands on them? Good question. What we know so far is that a keyblade chooses it's master, however how does it do that without a will of it's own? It doesn't, I believe that each Keyblade has something not unlike a spirit. Notice how it abandons Riku when he defects, and in the secret ending video how the character in the middle has a keyblade very like Sora's only it seems to be broader, and looks much more intimidating. I would place my money on that being Sora's keyblade, however older. Maybe it is who the keyblade first chose, and it was lost in "Keyblade War" and sealed by somebody to keep it's power out of the wrong hands? Where did Sora's keyblade first come from anyone remember? I do, it randomly appeared in his hands in the first game. They never explain where it came from, other than it picked a master. It is interesting to note Xigbar's words, "You don't look like half the heroes the others were! The Keyblade chose a dud this time!" This should lead people to think that maybe Xigbar had encountered the heroes we see in the secret ending. Also, how did Kairi randomly get a keyblade? They don't give this enough attention, where did it come from, why does she have one?

Oh that weapon he carries around all the time? That is called Soul Eater, they never really explained were that came from, I think we're supposed to assume that it came from the dark recesses of his heart. No that is not a keyblade. (So far as we know. )Andraxal

I just figured they'd skip over that whole "I gotta desperately be in my son's life" thing with Goofy and just focus it on the other characters (from either 1 or 2). I mean, yeah, he can acknowlede his son is around, but, none of that father chasing stuff (the second movie was kinda sad and creepy in that aspect).

Heh, and yeah, I'd like to run around Manhattan or the ancient times with Goliath around.

lol. Too overrated? Cheesy? Odd that kids with insanely colorful outfits are ninjas? Can't say I like it either. I know if I was alot younger, I'd have liked it.

I don't like Naruto because it drags on, and on, and on, and on like that. They rarely get to the point of anything. It has way too much heart, and sappy moments. I don't like listening to Naruto's voice because he sounds kind of like a transgender. (Sorry to the voice actor. Who IS a girl.) I actually prefer the japanese actor, which I almost NEVER do.

On Topic: Has anyone thought more about the use of having some of the apprentices of Xehanort be Nobody's? If they were Xehanorts apprentices, and they all eventually turned into Nobody's how did it happen? One doesn't just change into a Nobody. So if they all gave into darkness where are thier heartless? If they were his apprentices they should've learned quite a bit about the workings of the heart. Enough so that they should also know quite a bit more than they let on. It seemed liked the killed off his apprentices Nobody's pretty easily too. Did anyone find that peculiar? If they all separated into different pieces [I.e. Nobody/Heartless] and if Xehanort was in cahoots with Xemnas why didn't they ever reconnect? You would think his apprentices Nobody's would be much more powerful than the other Organization XIII members. If the person or entity called Xehanort really split in two pieces why is he different than his Nobody? Hmmm, let me explain further. If Xehanort reallyimpersonated Ansem, when he split why was his Nobody called Xemnas (Ansem + X)? He should've retained his correct name not the one he was impersonating. Note the background surrounding the TRUE Xehanort. (The person without a name.) Mind you the REAL Xehanort DOESN'T have a name, Ansem the Wise never names Xehanort when he finds him. He also had amnesia, so he quickly became friends with the REAL Ansem. If Ansem (THE REAL XEHANORT) had given himself to darkness and he was split in two why didn't they refuse? I think the reason is behind the name Ansem. I think when Xehanort (The REAL one) was impersonating him (the REAL Ansem) he truly began to think he was the real Ansem. There is a name for that disorder, but I can't think of it. When he split himself one was named Xemnas I think because at the time he truly believed himself to be Ansem, to hide his real name Nomura named him that. Xehanort is obviously a play on of No Heart + X, which I believe he is named for because he cannot remember who he truly is so he assumed he was the real ansem. Notice how Xehanort never truly uses his name? He always calls himself Ansem, which leads me to believe that he has that disorder I was talking about. Where someone gets close to someone and they like that person so much they unconcienciously become them. Notice how Xemnas also NEVER uses Xehanorts name. I think they're going to make a big fuss over that in the next game.

Sorry if my conversation got confusing, it really is at times. Also I don't think Nomura planned a sequal, and that when they asked him to do one he tried to tie a few things off, and he had to untie them. This created a few holes in the story to be filled in, and some plot holes too. It really shows at times, but he'll probably fill them in next game. I believe "The Lost Two" is referring to Xemnas/Xehanort as they both don't know who they truly are and are lost in the quest to become whole through the incorrect means. Any one agree?
