its from square live you can find about it at square page, god want to cry...the memeries, ff8 track is the best, up beat jazz,piano, world map, timber, windhill, galbadia at night, city theme, tomb of the unknown king, missle base, odin ruins, and many more. I to LOVE FF8, always will and will always play the games, will be sad because it will soon be 10 years since it came out, when im 70 will i play the game still......

Hahaha welcome to the club of those who love FFVIII! This is the FF I played more times after FFVI!
FFIV is another masterpiece of Uematsu's. My favorite composition is Hikari no Naka E (Into the light, or Theme of love in the original ost). That's just amazing. Into the darkness is also fantastic!
Well.. lets see .. Well I said that I liked the Final Fantasy VIII overall the most because It has the most songs I enjoy. I'll have to go thru my soundtracks and continue my blogs if I'm gonna pick a winner. For now it's FFVIII.
Final Fantasy VIII in my opinion, That opening ochestrated piece was just mind blowing and Eye's on me by Faye Wong was great. but those are only 2 songs off the top of my head, the 4disk soundtrack is filled with fantasic material. I know because I purshesd it ^^
But most all of SE's games have great music, Dragon Quest, Star Ocean, Chrono Cross had a really got soundtrack as well, I like alot of there stuff.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I love rpgs so much. For some reason, they are the only genre that pushes me into the fantastic world with high level compositions... Uematsu and Mitsuda are genius... there are other composers too, but those just stand out from the rest... Some people say videogames aren't art... but how come, since to make a game, you need to include various forms of arts? How is it that it "degrades" to non-art?

Pure geniuses. I wonder how FF or videogame music in particular would be if they weren't making music for any videogames or anything.
