Yeah, It seems the majority of the people here agree Square was the better half. I don't know why they had to go and make Spirits Within. I am glad they merged though, they use the best of two companies.
:lol: Its funny how most people didn't know Enix existed before they merged. Dragon Quest/Warrior? Star Ocean? Nobody had heard of those games before the merger? Star Ocean II??!?!?! :shock:
Well, for me, obviously its Squaresoft. Their big glory days (in my eyes anyway) was during the late 90's. FFVII-IX, Xenogears, Vagrant Story, and FFTactics. I don't know if I should count Chrono Cross or not...since it came out in 2000. But still, all those great titles in the span of a few years, they out did themselves back then...
i really like squaresoft also but. i love enix becuase of tri-ace and the star ocean series with valkyrie profile. so i would have to go enix and i wish these to companys never merged becuase they were makeing way better games when they were going against each other. also wish squaresoft never spent all there dam money in sprits within that just floped big time >

Squaresoft didn't change there name they just merged with the Enix Corporation (which in turn started the downfall of Final Fantasy games), Square Co. and Enix Corporation were actually rivals to begin with.
