Kefka from FFVI takes this one for me. He makes enemies like Sephiroth look like Santa Claus. I don't want to spoil any events in this game but Kefka is welcomes you to his Barbecue and you're the main course. Not to mention he is a complete a-hole. Speaking of a-holes, Algus comes to mind in that category, but definately does not compare in evilness to a lot of characters.

I'm interested in why you say Kain. I played all of Final Fantasy IV and this is what I think of Kain.
*Spoilers*















Yes, he seems bad at first siding with the Red Wings but later on you come to realize he was being brainwashed by Zeromus. In the ending scene he is seen redeeming himself on Mt.Ordeals pledging to be a good Dragoon. I heard in the gba version something else happens, I can't remember. Something to do with his jealousy of Cecil marrying Rosa?

yeah, there's this whole level in the Lunar Dungeon (a GBA bonus) where you play as only Kain, and he has to fight the evil within himself (it manifests as Lunar Bahamut; best course of action is to use a lunar screen to protect yourself from Mega Flare).

and yes, it is obvious that he's being manipulated by his feelings of jealousy, but that just makes his actions while manipulated more evil, as he knows where to hit Cecil where it hurts.

but all thoughts of his manipulated and evil selves (and how cool and evil they are) aside, Kain is by far one of the greatest characters in FFIV (the GBA version really lets you do a lot of stuff that allow you to see how cool he is)

Kefka, hands down!  (Spoiler!!)

a quick list of his worst crimes:
1. Used his own troups to test Terra's magic powers.
2. Kills general Leo
3. Posions an entire city (castle)
4. Kills the emperor
5. Sets up the espers, and takes thier powers
6. Rules the world with his Light of Judgement
7. ...he's a dick

    I think we have a thread for that. This isn't a "who would win in a fight." thread. It's more about who's the most sinister, heartless a-hole. Even Sephiroth fans can't argue that Sephiroth is the most sinister of all Final Fantasy. I mean, with Kefka and the emperor we're talking genocide here.

I think his man-thong took away some of his evilness. I always laughed when I saw him strutting down the catwalk.

Hands down Sephiroth, he just doesn't give a damn, you in his way, he'll kill you, plain and simple. That kind of evil has no cure. Well you can omnislash him, that'll do him in, BUT besides that, he is pure evil and nothing can change that.

i only played VI briefly but far enough to see kefka poison a whole castle its between him, sephiroth and kuja i mean damn he destroyed his own planet

Wow, yes. I agree with this. Sephiroth had a story behind his turning evil... Before that he was a hero. But Hojo, he's the real culprit. Good call.

I think in terms of just being evil, Kefka takes the cake. His deeds were pretty heinous.

Can you explain a bit more? I mean looking back at FF we have 
Zeromus(FFIV): Brain Controlls your brother and best friend and makes them try to kill you. Plus his true form is actually, literally pure evil.
Kefka(FFVI): I think it's been explained well enough
Kuja(FFIX): Just plain bad

It's Wakka! Wakka is totally the most evil character ever. He even pushed Tidus down from a cliff, now that's mean. That big meanie! He also tried to knock Tidus out with a sleeper hold. He always kept backchopping Tidus whenever he had a chance.  The way he talks is so evil.(right ya!).

Yeah, Kefka is a bad ass, but he's also a douche bag. I'm NOT going to say it's Sephiroth (way to f'ing overated) . Seymour was a better villain than him. I'm tempted to say Seifer, but even ten, he's only a sourceress's pawn. Kuja would have been cool if he wasn't such a **** I guess I'll just have to say Kefka-for now...
