Hahahahahaha :lol: Reminds me of when I was searching Riviera : The promised land. I went to EB and asked if they had Riviera but he told me this game wasn't existing. I'm not crazy. :P I went the next week and there was another guy in the shop and he told me Riviera never got released where I live so I had to buy it in Ontario.

Did you hear they are stepping up the difficulty? That makes me excited! I love hard games, as long as they aren't overly difficult. Andraxal

Yay ! Finally some challenges.

At certain points in the game (FFXII) the game had the perfect difficulty. I loved how it randomly kicked your butt some times too, like those werewolves outside by that little boy you have to talk to get a sunstone. I never thought they'd be like 3 times my level, and they demolished me many times. I also tried to attack that dinosaur. I also got bad memories from trying to go to Subterra where I get my arse handed to me many times. Andraxal

I liked FFXII difficulty. It was just perfect.

I heard somewhere on the FFIV boards that they are remaking FFVI. I am really going to be unhappy if they do, it's perfect as is. If they remake it and do FFIII style art I'm going to be really disapointed. I think I'd prefer sprites than 3D guys. Andraxal

Really? I think it'd be so cool! Especially if they weren't able to include all the story they wanted to - like with IV. I'd love to see it in 3D too. All the cool environments and stuff - like the phantom forest and the phantom train. I'd love to see Kefka in 3D. As far as CG cutscenes go - the part where Figaro Castle goes underground, and Edgar, Locke and Terra all jump on to the chocobos would be sweet as well!! And maybe this time the score won't get brutalized since I am sure the DS could handle that. (I think the score sounded horrible on the GBA - especially compared to the SNES version.)

Yea, the GBA really messed up the OST bad. If you have the OST though it should be OK since it is from the SNES version and not the GBA version. The Playstation version also kind of screwed it up, but not as bad as the GBA did.

I didn't like how they edited the torture scene out too. I thought that was a very emotional part and important scene. It almost didn't make sense to find Celes in the basement of South Figaro. I mean yea they had her locked up but...that was it. I don't know, it took away from the seriousness of the plot.

I just think that the game would benefit from a remake like that. The addition of CG cutscenes would be sooo awesome, and I really want to see some of those environments in 3D - Floating Continent, Serpent Trench, the Tower of the Cult of Kefka, even Narshe. FFVI just had some really really neat and unique places.

Hmmmmm. Maybe. I'm not to thrilled with having a PS3, so it's still not enough. The PS3 game prices are WAY to high, infact they are pricing their games so high it induces a price shock to customers who already reluctantly pay the half hundred dollar price. I'd be one of those people too. Look at the price of other next generation consoles, even they keep decent prices. I can't spare $60 dollars on new games...Andraxal

Indeed, tough luck I'm getting the PS3 tomorrow, YES :D, apparently I did well at work because i received a bonus in my salary. Good thing too because I've been waiting quite a while to try The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion.

Elder Scrolls IV is about the only thing that looks good. I've had my eye on that game while it has toured on the other consoles. I don't have a gaming PC so I can't buy games like that. :( (Psssst! Elder Scrolls is not SquareEnix made!)

Well yeah Elder Scrolls looks awesome, and next month they are releasing Lair for the ps3, which in opinion looks even better, so I'm gonna have my hands full for a while.

Lair reminds me of Drakkengaurd in a lot of ways. I really loved those games. I'd definitely buy another one if they made one for the PS3. :D Andraxal

Ahhhhh, yes i have actually played this game, but i didn't recognize when you mentioned it because the original japanese version is called Dragon Dragoon :P . I truly enjoyed it, i didn't understand much of the story though. Well I see why you say it looks similar to lair.

Hey welcome back! We've missed you~ Anyway, have you spent more hours on Final Fantasy XII or Oblivion? I asked this earlier however, you didn't responde. :( What? $23 to make a complete purchase? Wow, that is really unusual.... I'm surprised they don't have any OST there, and whats more none of the ones that SHOULD be out aren't...They're missing a Final Fantasy XI OST, Heroes of Mana, and I beleive like 2 others...Not to mention there aren't any Drakkengard...Come on! Hmmm, I'm pretty sure I did answer you. I don't remember what thread it was that you asked on but I did answer. I believe I have put more hours into FFXII than I have in Oblivion. Not by much though - I think I did about 90+ hours in Oblivion (nowhere near being done however).
