Nes. Cause I'm older than you and I remember how dead video games were before it came out.
P.S. ET anyone? There is a hole in the desert full of them. Brand new. :)
[QUOTE="istreakforfood"][QUOTE="Panzer_Zwei"]Then 16 months later it was dead.[QUOTE="meischris39"]Sega Dreamcast hands down, it was just revolutionary and launched with a 9.9 and a 10. Panzer_Zwei
How could a console that doesn't even carry you through an entire generation could be considered the best ever? it beats even me.
the games they had i really enjoyed. i still play those games time to time.
I still play some Turbo Duo games from time to time, but that doesn't make it the greatest console ever.I would believe to cosider a console the greatest ever, would mean you would've been able to go through with it being your only or main console.
it was my primary console after the ps1 for a period of time. dc had so many great games to offer from shenmue, marvel vs capcom, re code veronica, berserk, gundam, pso, sonic, etc.
i played a lot of games from many diff consoles including pc (i was once a big time hermit), but now i look back upon i really enjoyed playing on th dc.
So did the Saturn and the Mega Drive, SNES, PS etc. and they had more to offer, so that's not something you would call special.it was my primary console after the ps1 for a period of time. dc had so many great games to offer from shenmue, marvel vs capcom, re code veronica, berserk, gundam, pso, sonic, etc.

But I fail to see how's the Dreamcastis even the best SEGA console, even less the greatest ever. It had way less games to offer than the Saturn and Mega Drive, abyssmal software sales, mass hardware clearance sales, worst third-party support since the Master System, and even with the Master System it was mostly because third parties couldn't because Nintendo's monopoly that because they didn't want to support it.
Where was Atlus, Raizing, Konami etc. with the Dreamcast? They were all pissed at how SEGA decided to kill-off the Saturn. Same reason why Camelot called it quits with SEGA after they left the Saturn and their Shining Force III games up to dry. With the Saturn third party still wanted to make games, with the Dreamcast they didn't even got near. The Saturn had a small success in Japan at least, the Dreamcast failed hard in there. If the Dreamcast had done the same the Saturn did in Japan, we probably would've had another SEGA console.
