give me a link proving this 1 terabyte external hard drive for 100 dollars exists, Let alone the fact external hard drives nortoriously are more expensive then internal ones, I've yet to see a 1TB one for under 200.WilliamRLBaker
hardly, another $25 a lot? its more console hard drives are overpriced
[QUOTE="TheCrazed420"][QUOTE="True_Gamer_"]The father of one of my flatmates was in China for business and since my flatmate wanted to buy an external hard drive he told him that he foudn one at $100 that had the astronomic capacity of 1TB!!!
Now consider the above price before you spout $840 construction costs for PS3...

Shouldn't we also consider that most of us don't live in China and right now you would never find any such deal here? Nice score by your friend though...

Or the fact that the PS3 uses a notebook hardrive.
it should have used destop drives, its so big already it could fit on and thye are way cheaper and faster
[QUOTE="Grive"][QUOTE="True_Gamer_"]My point was that the production costs in China are much lower than any "anal"ysts imagne...
I can bet that that $180 HDD of Xbox360 elite costs less than $20 to manufacture...

Your point fails, because you don't really place any tangible evidence for your argument.
I once got a watch with a gold and silver chain (true gold and silver) for about $20. That's less than the raw material cost. Tell me, are manufacturing costs in china so low they're negative?
What evidence? Should I fly to China and take a photo? Just because a fanboy at a forum said so? If you dont believe me ask anyone from China...
I believe you. I bought a 400GB HDD for my PC for RM480 sometime this year. That'd be about USD130. Should be cheaper in China.04-13-2007[QUOTE="True_Gamer_"][QUOTE="Grive"][QUOTE="True_Gamer_"]My point was that the production costs in China are much lower than any "anal"ysts imagne...

And what I meant whith my thread was that if 1TB HDD costs $100 in China just imagine how much would a PS3 made in China cost to produce...
The manufacturing costs are far lower than the exploited and milked masses would ever comprehend...Â
