$10 for three maps

For the life of me i will never understand what goes on in a console players mind to possibly even consider something like this :|

But what about extra maps for PC?! Valve made extra official ones (some 4-5) for CS source.. Isn't that the same thing?

If you dont like paying what it cost for a nice lunch for 3 awesome maps then wait until spring when they are free.

I will be paying the $10. 10$ is not that much money. Expecially for a game that I have already played for over 200 hours and will play for hundreds more. That comes out to costing just a few cents an hour be fully entertained.

For halo 2, the individual maps were 2 dollars and the map pack was just over that. Now its $3.33 a map. (also remember, bungie stated that one of the maps is the most simple map they have ever created in terms of layout) If bungie continues its pattern with adding maps, we will spend over 36 dollars in map packs (if you buy them on time). That is compared to 24 dollars if you bought all the halo 2 maps asap.

Combined with the price of games rising 10 dollars, that makes the total spent on Halo 3 close to a 100 dollars, and thats for the cheapest version. I think with the record sales that bungie made, they could at least be nice to the customers.

It doesn't matter what 10 dollars is for you or anyone else. It depends on the relation between the price and the value you get for that price. Paying 10 dollars for 3 silly maps is a blatant rip-off. It's as simple as that.

it is not the fact of how much it cost. i know i make more money than 95 percent of the people on there. but that does not mean i am going to buy something i do not think is worth the money. i wanted an i phone when they came out. but i felt they were chargin too much although i could afford it. i wait a month and all the sudden they drop the price because it is more reasonable for what you are getting. so i bought one.

if people did the same thing with the marketplace. prices would be more reasonable.

Is this new map pack not going to interrupt matchmaking?

If so, then some gamers either have to pay for this overpriced crap, or waste the 60+ dollars they spent on the game (if they bought it for the multiplayer, which many did)

You are also simply avoiding how the price is all relative. There are plenty of situations in the world where something may be worth 10 dollars, there is also many where it isn't, including this one. I'm not trying to tell you what you should do with your money but it seems like you don't have anything usefull to say.

If you knew anything about Halo you'd know that, when new maps are released, they have matchmaking specifically for those new maps to begin with. This was done with Halo 2. So, no. The toolbags that continue to pay for stuff like this will ensure that extra content will never be free for games on consoles.
