[QUOTE="DrinkDuff"]I'm not paying. I refuse to support this bloated microtransaction or should I say, content that should have been in Halo 3 in the first place.xDonRobx

See, if you had teh Blu-Ray they would've beeb. But your puny DVD9 couldn't fit it. :P

That's got nothing to do with it. I think you're being sarcastic though, so maybe you already know that...

I dunno man. I just hate to see it. I'm not even a console gamer but stuff like this pisses me off.

Its such a blatant ripoff and they are just blind. It's like the George Orwell novel, Animal Farm. The pigs just keep changing the rules to suck as much resources from their populace as they possibly can. It's sickening.

10 dollars for 3 maps...THREE MAPS! Three maps that they've probly had sitting around for months. I just cant wrap my head around this. I just cant. Its rediculous!

Microsoft exec:"hey, don't release all those maps at launch. Save a bunch, and we'll periodically release them over the next couple years, three in a pack for $10! It cost us zero to make, but we'll make millions!!! mwaahahhaa!"

TeamR

Yeah it pisses me off sometimes aswell. Mostly because this will probably sell a lot and they will continue to milk people instead of coming up with new ideas.

you don't even have a 360 :|

If this was for any other game the maps would probably be free (except for GeOW, which was a pretty big deal and 2 map packs, one of which you could pay for). But it's HALO 3, they know people are going to pay for them, and those who don't want to can wait. How can you even consider this being "milked" if they will be free?

TheDarkDisciple

So? What's your point about me not owning a 360? The argument still stands. Furthermore, I remember that one had to pay to download horse armour in Oblivion. Wtf? Additionally, the people who buy that crap right now are being milked, is it not so? It will be free, yes, but is it free right now? No.

1. According to you they're overcharging. According to others, they aren't. Your opinon doesnt make it set in stone.

According to me, right? Have you read a single response to the original post in this thread? I assume so. It obviously isn't just my opinion, but that of the majority of people who have posted in this thread. I am definitely not alone.

2. Never said you weren't allowed to comment on the pricing, did I?

You make it seem like it, though.

3. You've already stated your opinion numerous times and yet you keep stating it...sorry, that's considered trolling. Especially when you keep using your childish words like "laddy" and "kiddo" to try and convey that you are somehowbetter and are "wiser". Sorry, but you're not. You can think you are all you want but it's simply your illusion...no one elses.

That is because you keep arguing against it so I tried to elaborate on the subject matter to make myself clear. Furthermore, everything you just soeloquently described applies to you as well, for you were the one who started giving me sass by rolling your eyes at me, thus depicting what you how just described as being "somehowbetter" and "wiser". Way to be a hypocrite, eh? I was just playing along in your little game.If that is an illusion of mine, then it is just as yours. It may be hard to accept but hey, the truth hurts, doesn't it?

4. Maybe it is a little steep and i've never stated otherwise. All i've commented on is the fact that $10 isn't a whole lot in this day and age. $5 may have made more sense but, lets look at the facts; you don't have to pay for it and, in a few months, it'll be free.

As I have many times tried to explain, it doesn't matter what the sum is to you or anyone else. The price/value relationship simply cannot be justified. Nevertheless, you are correct in saying that one does not have to pay for it and that you can just wait. However, wouldn't that make you and me a cow?

5. No, your remarks are condescending and childish, sorry.

Of course they are. I had to go down to your level after all. I regret doing so now, however.

6. I have a disgusting nature? Yea, ok. Keep telling yourself that. Whatever helps you feel better. I do speak truth's...it may be a bit over priced but it is in fact optional and it'll be free in a few months. Whining about it on here doesn't change anything. So, move on.

There we go again. You seemingly want to stop us from discussing this matter since it won't change anything anyway, yada yada. If you feel this way, then why don't you move on and get out of this thread? Let the people who wish to discuss the subject at hand discuss it.

People make me laugh.

You gotta be pretty dense to let companies like microsoft milk you like a cow, no matter how much money you have. Sure $10 isnt alot of money, but you need to put it in perspective. Would you pay $10 for a big mac at mcdonalds? Hell no, right? Even if you make 500k a year, who in their right mind would pay $10 for a big mac when you can walk accross the street and get a better burger for 1.99? An idiot, thats who. Someone who doesnt know how to manage money. Someone who doesnt know when they are being totally ripped off.

How can companies like Valve release mountains and mountains of similar content for FREE? How can other companies release entire expansion packs for $10? This halo3 hero pack is a blatant ripoff. It's sickening because the more people buy into this crap the more companies will try to milk you users for cash. If microsoft makes a killing by selling 3 maps for $10, then whats next? Who will be the next company to charge a huge amount of money for minimal content?

And the real kicker is....the maps probably cost the companies pennies to make! We all know map making isnt a team job. it's one or two people working with a proprietary or a 3rd party modeler for a week or two, tops. On top of that, I can almost garuntee you that these maps were at least partially complete before halo3 launched.

If bungie released their sdk for halo3, you'd see 1000 top quality user made maps the NEXT WEEK. FOR FREE!

TeamR

Exactly. People like Puckhog04 still try to undermine such impeccable logic nevertheless, which disturbs me.

This same exact scenario played in my head. Lemmings are now cows because they get milked.

I find it humorous how some lems defend Microsoft for charging $10.00 for this map pack.

Though they do have a point: it is only $10.00, right? Well if that's the case, which it is, then why doesn't Microsoft just give it away to its loyal customer base for free as a cheap benefit? I mean, it is ONLY $10.00 like some defenders say.

See how that works?
